I got my Traveler when they first came out. The stethophone hurts my ears (due to pressure not volume). The electronics have got a few crackles and pops due to wiggly wires and the plastic ring around the pickup has a piece that cracked and broke off (still works fine tho). BUT I'd buy another one in a heartbeat if something happened to mine. The full scale/string length is one of a kind for an axe that is so small and plays great. It is truely a God-Send for guitar players that travel. I do electronic repairs on ships and have taken my Traveler guitar around the world with me 3 times (and all over the US). Airport security always asks what it is, they're amazed and I've never had a problem carrying it. Highly recommended!

I bought this guitar while traveling in the US. Worked great.

After returning home I finally plugged it in to an amp to discover that the 1/4" output jack doesn't work. Although there is a licensed distributor and repair dealer in the country I live, Travel Guitar is unwilling to pick up the cost of repair and have asked me to ship it back to the US - which would cost me enough to be prohibitive. Yeah, the repair isn't complicated and I can easily get it done, but it would be nice to have Travel Guitar stand by the quality of their products. The guitar was 1 week old by the time I returned home.

It's the principle of it.

Comments about Traveler Guitar Pro Series Travel Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

This guitar is realy good. You can make it sound like an acoustic or electric. First time playing is not so easy need to practice. Diferent way to play but it is good to keep you in a good shape. It is just too expensive.

Comments about Traveler Guitar Pro Series Travel Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Just pulled this out of the box and can't say enough great things about this mini-hybrid guitar. It is so different, but plays amazing. I A/B'd it to a Bose Compact for acoustic sound and an Orange Tiny Terror with 12" cab in the other. OMG!! This is great. I gig regularly with a Breedlove D25 and Taylor T5 and this little Traveler Pro Series A/E makes me reconsider my rig. Granted, the ergonomics are different and you have to get adjusted to playing with no arm rest, but man, I just couldn't put it down. And it's so light!! Also, as others have mentioned, great for practicing with no amp. Definitely check this out....its a keeper!

            I recommend the product.
Now, I will have fun everywhere! Play very nicely, sound great with my Tascam MP-GT1. Need time to get confortable but worth it.
Very good quality and finish, full scale neck and fit on my backpack.
            Worth the money.

Overall a great buy, it will last for years and is a great way to take your music with you.
I have had this guitar for years and it has been on hundreds of planes with me. the padded case is great and it has survived very well. it is small enough that you can put it in a backpack with the neck sticking out so if you go thru airports it can count as one piece. I tend to play with headphones and the sound is great, but can also rock with an amp. you will not be dissapointed!

Great But It Needs An Arm Rest, Here's How

            By RockingOldies

Comments about Traveler Guitar Pro Series Travel Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Ok, go to Michael's Crafts (hope you have their 40 or 50% off coupon. Go to their naked/bare wood section. Look for a Oval Basswood Plaque, 12 x 16" by Walnut Hollow it matches the guitar exactly. Take it home and experiment with it on your lap with the travel guitar on top. What you want it to use the guitar's leg rest but the oval plaque as an arm rest. On the back of the guitar is a round nut that sticks out. Make a pen mark on the wood around the nut. Now drill just deep enough to allow the nut to go into the wood, you don't have drill all the way through it. Then use industrial strength velcro on the back of the guitar and the front of the plaque, attach together. Now you have a travel guitar that feel much more like a full acoustic guitar but you can still take it apart for travel--a winner!

            Perfect travel guitar

Comments about Traveler Guitar Pro Series Travel Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I own it for almost a year. It allows to reherse in a room without annoying the family or when traveling as it can be kept in cabin or packed in a car. The design is quite tough and can be packed with other luggage with no fear, the regular size of the neck is very convenient. I Highly recommend it as a travel guitar or second guitar for rehersing when promiscuity is an issue.

            Good For traveling

Comments about Traveler Guitar Pro Series Travel Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

This guitar is good for traveling. The only problem is that the string wrap around behind the pickup and the vibrate when you play and make a high pitched buzz. The knobs also come off easily but that might be because mine is old. It sounds good with a marshall amp and Boss MT-2 pedal but you can get the same sound from a Dean Evo XM.ONLY BUY THIS FOR TRAVELING!!

Comments about Traveler Guitar Pro Series Travel Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I am a national sales manager and I do lots of travel across the U.S. Spending many nights in hotels can get old real fast. This guitar is my buddy, I pack a small set of head phones, the Korg Tone Works PX4 and a small MP3 player and I have a whole band in a little backpack. It's size is amazing.Every now and then I get seated in an empty row on a plane and I get to play on the flight. Oh, and it is great to see the reaction of security when you place this thing on the x-ray belt, some scan it more than once - just look at the gig bag :)Like one of the other writers I was also thinking of changing the single coil for a hot rails. (If you do before me, let me know how it sounds)Only issue I have is the selector switch is broken, easy fix. Other than that, it's a good guitar for the money.
