This is a great instrument, no doubt. I went looking for guitars in this price range, and this was simply the best. I was looking for an acoustic without any onboard electronics because I felt I would get the best sound, since electronics cost extra. But boy was I wrong. This is a more then fine guitar. It just sounds and feels great! This guitar definently can rival with the "big dogs". I have played with people using taylor 310 and 410's, Martin d-15's and high end breedloves, and from those experiences, I can tell you this baby is no $1500 guitar, but it can for sure hold its own. When I tested this guitar out, I liked it, for sure. The only thing i planned on doing was lowering the action, but it turned out, the one I got our of the box had perfect action. The one at the store was apperently a defect or something. This guitar got a 9 for features simply because of the lack of an onboard tuner other than that, it comes with everything, nice finish, nice look, cut away and the whole 9 yards. The quality is a 10 for sure, great sound, great look, and sturdy. The value is a 10 hands down. It is simply on of the best for its price range, and it also comes with a hard shell case. overall was a 10 because I am it is a fine guitar, no complaints. When I got this, I got a new set of elixer strings and I bought new bridge pins and installed both right away. This thing is a dream.

Most used guitar in the house!

By LuvMyGuitarz

from NC

We have four active musicians in this house, all who own several guitars each of varying styles, but of course it's mine..the EA20 that ALWAYS gets fought over. It's not all bling-blingy as far as inlay or what have you, but it is a beautiful instrument with simple appointments. It is considered a pro-level guitar, and certain features like the Grover 18:1 tuners (It RARELY has to be tuned),and the wonderful tonal woods chosen really show this. This guitar is just magical for playability really. It truly does play similarly to an electric as far as acoustics go. It has a fast neck with awesomely low action, which is fantastic for those of us with smaller hands, and the electronics are fine. It does come to life and shine when amped, and I have yet to have any feedback issues with it. As my son's will attest to, since they play it all the time when I'm not,it is a wonderful stand alone acoustic as well unplugged. A very bright, balanced tone thanks to the quilted maple sides and back. Put some Elixr custom lights on it, and you're good to go. I have and would recommend this guitar to anyone of any experience, but I do issue with it a warning; Everyone you play with will want to play YOUR guitar all the time. :)

who needs a taylor

By Anonymous

i have always loved bright guitars, and this one fits the bill. bright, but now overly so and as clear as a bell. beautiful blond body and very comfortable neck. loud as crap which makes it a perfect fit for campfires and jamming ok with friends. my only complaint is the pick up. even thought it captures the sound of the guitar better than most, it it very touchy. if it is plugged in and you move your guitar, you get a swooshing noise. but that is the only compliant, great guitar, love it

drunkenjones says yes

I bought this guitar and love it. the only feature it does not have is an onboard tuner. My wife plays a Takamine and reminds me of this all the time when I pull my tuner out of the case. It is awesome and carries solid mellow lows and mids and very powerful highs as well. Low action all along the frets and a pretty thin neck help too. Great guitar.

Paul's Review

By Anonymous

from Undisclosed

I like the slim body and the white trim. The only disadvantage I think is that there is not much for a pick guard. The soundhole and one of the places where the body dips in are parallel to eachother and leaves only about 2 inches for a pick guard. Great Guitar.

This guitar is a dream

By Scoop-C3-kp

from Tyler Hill, PA

OK, I'll admit it. I first was drawn to this particular guitar when I saw a Koa topped version in my local music store. It was out of my price range at the time, so I didn't wind up with that beauty. But, I kept my eye out and finally bought a used model with a really nice white finish. Obviously, they have made improvements since my model was made, but I really can't believe how good this guitar plays. I also own a Gibson Les Paul Custom and believe it or not, I pull my Washburn out more than the Paul.I really like the action. Mine plays almost like an electric. With .009 Elixir strings I can even play bendy leads! I had a friendly jam at my house the other day, and I played about 7 hours - mostly on the Washburn. My fingers are sore, but the fact that I could go for seven hours in the first place says alot about it's playability!

awesome guitar

By Green_washburn

from Leetonia, Ohio

This guitar sounds great, and looks great. It is worth every dollar. buy yourself some elixir extra light strings and have a great time. Once you go washburn you will never buy anything else, I have a Green washburn that is made just like it, and I wouldn't trade it for a thousand dollars.

Great Guitar!

By halofreedom31021

from Georgia

My friend has this guitar, and from the instant he played it, he has been in love with it. I have to agree! It is plenty loud unplugged, and when you plug it in you will think that you are in heaven! This guitar sounds so clean! It also functions with overdrive, but you get some feedback. My only real bone to pick with this guitar is that it is so expensive! A Garrison beats it in value and electronics, but not in quality! Overall, an excellent pick if you've got cash to burn!
