if your a beginer player who doesn't care about sound this is the guitar for you. the small body gives it terrible sound quality. the action is also no good.
This little guitar has a really nice wood finish, and is surprising well constructed for such a low price. It sounds like a cross between a guitar and banjo. With the included strap, it it is easier to hold than some of the other small travel guitars I've played. The original tuning machines are a weakness, and mine could not hold a tuning for even a few minutes. I replaced them with a set of Grover Mini-tuners, which required enlarging the holes slightly, and some wood putty work to fill in the screw holes from the old tuners. I replaced the strings with Elixir NanoWeb extra lights, which improved the sound. The case is nicely padded, and even has optional back-pack straps that can be quickly snapped in place: and there's an outside pocket to stash the straps when they aren't in use.
I love this little jewel. It is very rugged which is needed for a travel guitar...yet has a very nice finish and look. I purchased the pickup and it really can rock. No, it does not sound like your full size guitar...but has a great sound for its size. I would take it any day over the martin travel. The case is also great!
Travel guitar sounds great compared to my son's First Act child's guitar, wonderful woodwork, great tone,, just not super loud. I highly recommend it if you want an inexpensive small guitar to play around the house when kids are aobut, or to take places. I hear a pickup is also available for it. Case is ingenious how small the whole package is. Tuners are ok, not tops, but it stays in tune after a couple of tunings out of the box.
I just bought this guitar last week. It's nice with solid construction. I bought it to go on a cross country train trip this summer. It's pretty neck-heavy and hard to play without a strap. The sound is okay considering it's size overall I think it's a good purchase for the price.
