I caught this guitar for a great deal.  That being said, I'm pleased with most aspects of the purchase.  I really like the Grand Auditorium style and wanted to try it without spending a bundle to make sure I like this style before I buy something better.  It fits well in your lap, is thin and comfortable to play.  It has decent action for such an inexpensive guitar. The Fishman electronics are nice and the on-board tuner works well.  It has nice tone and is a solid cedar top, which is nice for the price.  It looks good and the workmanship is decent.  My only gripe is that it has a couple of pretty bad "fret buzz" spots on a couple of the strings at the 2nd fret.  I'm going to take it to a shop and have it set up to see if the buzz can be eliminated.

All in all, it's still a great deal...a nice guitar for the price, even at the standard price.

Good guitar for price

Features:

Built in tuner is nice, electronics are good. I played it the other night at my church when it was plugged in to the sound system and it worked quite well.

Quality:

Good quality guitar except for one thing. The tuning keys are awful. I had a hard time with them anyways. I got the guitar and decided to put some Elixir Nanoweb strings on it and they make an awful cranking noise once the tension builds up and have to be turned carefully. One of them actually would actually keep turning without tightening the string so I took it in to a music store that repairs guitars and they said that they couldn't do anything about it so I took it home and fixed it myself. The trick for me was turning the tuning key while also helping turn the knob that the string is attatched to.

Once it tenses up, turn it back a little bit and give it a little slack and then tighten it again. That eases the tension and made it easier for me.

Value:

I got this guitar for a great price and I honestly really enjoy except for the pain with the tuning keys. Other than that it is a great value. It plays nicely, has a good sound, and it's comfortable. Don't be expecting Martin or Taylor quality though.

Overall:

Overall, the WG16SCE Solid Cedar Top Acoustic Cutaway Electric Grand Auditorium Mahogany Guitar With Fishman Preamp And Tuner is a good guitar. If you are looking for a guitar that gets the job done and a very reasonable price, this is for you. It looks really nice once you see it in person for the first time. Once again, tuning keys may give you troubles or maybe my guitar was just a fluke. Who knows. It is fun to play and I think I'll enjoy it for some time until I save up enough money for a Martin or Taylor.

I have had a lot of different brand guitars. My last acoustic was a Taylor 414ce grand auditorium in which I had to sell. So, I was looking for something close to that, but for a lot less money. So I went with this Washburn grand auditorium cutaway. I had never owned a Washburn before. I will say I was a little bit worried I would be disappointed when I got it going from a Taylor to this, but I must say I LOVE this guitar! From the moment I pulled it out of the box I was happy. I read all the reviews on here before buying and compared many different guitars before making my decision and now I'm so happy I chose this one. The construction of the guitar looks solid, feels solid. I love how deep yet bright the sound is when playing it. The feel of the body along with the short fret board makes it comfortable for me to play. Which is why I have always favored the grand auditorium style. I was pleased with the action on the strings as well. Electronics are great. Can't really go wrong with Fishman in my opinion. I have yet to hear what the guitar sounds like recorded. I haven't gotten that far yet. Other than that, hands down I give this guitar a 10 for the money. If you want a nice sounding guitar, at a lower price then go with this one. You won't be unhappy with your choice.
