Comments about Washburn WG27SE Grand Auditorium Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

This guitar had an amazing first impression on me, and it still holds almost a year later. My dad and I went to get my sister a guitar for Christmas. We were looking in the 400-600 range and browsed around for hours, playing every guitar, trying to find the best one. And then we stumbled on this Washburn. We didn't even know much about the brand, but man, did this guitar play well! In my mind it actually seemed like the most "playable" guitar I had ever played up to that point - I don't play higher-end guitars that often, but this guitar played like one in my opinion. Great tone, consistent tuning, and awesome fret-to-fret transitioning. This is one smooth easy-to-play guitar, and one I would definitely recommend for beginners just getting used to playing - it is, I say again, very playable. But with 9 years of playing experience under my belt, I'm definitely considering getting one of these for myself in the future as well. Great guitar, and Washburn has made a very great impression on me as a guitar-maker.

Comments about Washburn WG27SE Grand Auditorium Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Beautiful guitar that once set up properly sounds amazing. First thing to do is swap the saddle for bone. Totally transforms the guitar from ok to amazing. I swapped strings to Earthwood medium lights which are easy to fret and brings out the bass on this guitar. Next time i will try Elixers as i love their sound on my Taylor to see if it gets any sweeter. At this pricepoint there are a few places they went cheap. Besides the plastic saddle, the tuners aren't the smoothest but adequate, and the onboard electronics are inferior compared to the Fishman they used to install. Overall though i am happy with my purchase and would recommend this guitar.

Looks and plays like a much more expensive guitar. Spruce top, great neck and action.
