I've had one for about 2 years for DJing. Comes in handy when the bridal party needs to make a personal "toast" or announcement (from their table). They just love it (and treat it like gold when they handle it - they must think it cost me a fortune). I currently use a black countryman E6i headset... but having this as a spare is nice (for those guest announcements). One note - If you use it for singing vocally or karaoke... people who belt out a tune may experience a slight amount of distortion (during the "belting-out-a-note" part of the song). Overall IT DOES WHAT IT DOES FOR A DECENT PRICE. If you think it can replace your singing wifi mic in a live band environment... then... your mileage may vary according to how you drive it!!!

Bought this mic a while ago for our DJ business and have had troubles with it all the while. There are occasional signal noises and hums to frequent drops and cut outs. We thought it was the battery or cable but have used new ones and had the same issue. At this point it's not even a good back up. We also use the more expensive Shure systems and they work like champs. So I guess you do get what you pay for. Like most folks when I works I do like the sound quality snd clarity. It's getting ours to work that's the trick. Nothing more embarassing than a best man or CEO making a speech and the mic cuts out. Again maybe I just got a bad one.

Hey

Comments about Nady DKW1 Handheld Wireless System:

well, I bought one of these Microphones at a Mars Musical planet. And when I dropped it the first time by accident it broke. But i still say its a good mic. But I know people say it isn't a good system. But try it. Its just a clip on mic and it works fine. but i had to send it back. but i ordered another one and it should fine. But give it a chance. Cheaper and less expensive.

Love It!

Comments about Nady DKW1 Handheld Wireless System:

Regardless to what everyone else thinks, I have been in a metal band for 4 years now and I have had my Nady DKW-1 wireless buy my side and never had a complaint. It never cut out on me and the range was amazing. Their was a bit of sensitivity to the feedback but never that bad to where i couldn't perform. unlike its dkw-duo counterpart which had only one mic work and the other break up, I would trust this product for years to come and without a doubt buy this product over and over again. Give it a chance people.

Buy a Shure

By Sleevemeister

from Los Angeles, Ca

Comments about Nady DKW1 Handheld Wireless System:

This thing is useless. Used it at a wedding, and before the first speech was over, it had cutout 3 times. Quickly had to switch to a wired mic. I've read reviews for all of the wireless mics now, and am planning on paying $299 for the Shure system. The cap on the bottom barely stays on, which I believe may make the battery lose contact hence dropping the signal. Piece of junk.

You get what you pay for

By Ackster

Comments about Nady DKW1 Handheld Wireless System:

These are pretty good little mics. I have 4 of them and they work just fine. I have had no problem with range on them, unless the battery is about to die. And they have a decent, clean sound, as long as you don't "eat them". The lack of a gain control on the receiver can be a slight pain, but overall a good bargain. Works well for karaoke.

You pay for what you get

Comments about Nady DKW1 Handheld Wireless System:

For $$ most mics that aren't cordless don't sound good. What more did you expect. If you are looking for something cheap to get you buy and don't like cords then buy it. But don't expect good quality.

Short Range Only

By h kerohson

from sandpoint, id

Comments about Nady DKW1 Handheld Wireless System:

Good overall sound quality. However this is where it stops. Dropouts present themselves sometimes only 5'-10' away, depending on position of mic. Other times I have seen it work 200' away. I recomend spending some extra cash to get one that works for real.

Excellent

By GuitarOfGold-3Jhiy

from Canton, IL

Comments about Nady DKW1 Handheld Wireless System:

I bought a variation of this that instead came with a lapel mic and a WHT-14 belt pack (rather than a handheld mic). Quality is excellent, with amazingly high gain. I've not once had a dropout while using it, nor any fuzz, and the battery life is great. I've been using it with my violin with great results, and I get great reception even at far distances.
