Tri-Sensor 88-note scaled hammer-action keyboard with built-in USB/MIDI interface and more.

The Casio PX130 digital keyboard's grand piano sounds deliver an unprecedented level of realism and expression. 4 dynamic layers of stereo piano samples are integrated with Casio's proprietary Linear Morphing System, resulting in a grand piano sound with seamless transitions and a superior dynamic range. For added realism, the PX-130 simulates the sound of the open strings when the dampers are raised by the pedal using Acoustic Resonance DSP. The PX-130 also has 128-note polyphony, enough horsepower for the most demanding musical passages, and the ability to layer sounds and use the damper pedal without worry of dropped notes. The result is a grand piano experience that is unmatched at any price.

Expressive Touch
The Privia PX-130 features a Tri-Sensor 88-note, scaled hammer-action keyboard. Casio's engineering has resulted in an authentic piano touch that captures every detail and nuance of your performance. This scaled hammer action provides the weight, feel, and resistance without sacrificing the portability of the instrument.

Education Features
In addition to the superior keyboard action and piano sound, the PX-130 is ideal for music education. Featuring Casio's Duet mode, the keyboard can be split into two equal ranges, allowing student and teacher to play at the keyboard simultaneously. The PX-130's built-in 2-track recorder and metronome allows you to practice any tempo and later listen to what you just played. The recording features can also be used to capture moments of creativity and remember song ideas.

Connect and Create
It's easy to connect the PX-130 to your computer with its built-in USB/MIDI interface. The PX-130's 88-note, weighted, scaled, hammer-action keyboard makes it an ideal controller keyboard for using with music software applications. The USB connection also allows you to move songs to and from the computer into PX-130's flash ROM, allowing to you save songs you've created.

Versatility, Portability and Design
Whether you're at home, church, school, or onstage, the PX-130 was designed to tackle it all, making it a valuable investment. Since it's lightweight, you can easily take the PX-130 from home to the classroom, or even to the gig and back with no worries. It connects easily to your computer via USB, and its Duet mode is perfect for student and teacher practice. The technology in the Casio PX-130 allows you to do it all.

I told my teacher that a digital piano has no soul....

Features:

I am the oldest living piano student on this planet = I was 79 on May 2, 2012. I am a classically trained musician (opera/concert singer) and I've spent my life in music. I've been a silversmith since 1969 but I felt that something was missing in my life. My son said it was a man. Nope. I missed making music.

I found a fabulous teacher. We argued for hours about a piano. I wanted what I'd always had since I was a young child, a traditional conventional piano. I live in a tiny beautiful apartment with no real space for a piano so a lot of down-sizing had to be done. I already have a digital Yamaha keyboard that was top-of-the-line in its time and I've never enjoyed it. I used it simply to learn my vocal music but even with minimal expectations, it didn't bring me musical joy.

David and my son prevailed and brought me into the 21st century. I love and adore my Casio Privia. Being frugal, it's nice that I won't need a piano-tuner four times a year. And, if I choose to move, packing and carrying it is a piece of low-carb cake.

But the real point is that the action suits my style of playing, the sound is full bodied, it requires very little space, and it looks wonderful. So, onward to Schubert D.960.

Any conventional piano would have cost several thousand (or more) dollars. The Casio Privia was a real bargain.

Overall:

As I previously mentioned, not needing to have a piano tuner four times a year is a cost-cutting measure. In old conventional pianos, parts do wear out and break and it's often difficult to find replacements. This certainly won't happen with my new Casio Privia. The bench is quite comfortable and the stand is sturdy and dependable. I don't use headphones, but they were included in the purchase (I gave them to my son who said they're quite good, not remotely top-of-the-line but, hey, the price (zero) was right).

Taking piano lessons have always been on my "bucket list" and now that the kids are all grown it is now my time. My piano teacher told me what to look for in a keyboard and the the wonderful staff at Musicians friend were wonderful in every way and the choice of the Privia PX 130-88 Digital Keyboard sounds great.  I am enjoying and appreciating this great gift to myself.

Thanks all!

I just received my PX 130 last week, and I love it. The sound quality and voices are extremely accurate and the grand piano sounds like a true grand piano. Also the feel and weight of the keys are accurate and truly amazing for the price range. I've played several pianos twice the price and I can't tell a difference. This piano has quickly become my favorite instrument! I played my first show with it today and the response from the audience was amazing. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a top notch instrument. My only concern is that it doesn't have a 1/4 output and if you are gigging with this instrument you will need buy an adapter, however with the adapter it still sounds amazing , so that shouldn't be something to stop you from buying. I give it a 10!

I was excited about this piano (Casio Privia 130) when my Grandmother ordered it. I got to open it yesterday and it's amazing! The keys have nice rebound, and a real piano feel. The built in sounds are realistic, especially the Pipe Organ, but not so much the strings. It has a deep resonance other keyboards dont have and the presets are beautiful. It also comes with scores to all the presets, over 100$ worth of music. I reccomend this keyboard to anyone, pro or amateur.

I bought this used in condition 4 with a stuck key and some minor wear marks.  I received it in 5 days, took it apart and snapped the stuck key into place, cleaned it and it's as good as new at half price.  I love this keyboard, it has really nice action and the grand and classical piano tones are nice.  Anyone looking for a acoustic piano substitute for practicing or to use as they're main instrument, feel free to buy this.
