With the Korg CX3 61-Key Combo Organ, Korg has duplicated classic organ tones right down to adjustable leakage sounds of mechanical tonewheels. With the Korg CX3's 128 program locations and over 64 presets you can cover the whole musical map from pop, hard rock, jazz, and gospel to R&B. A host of keyboardists including Brian Auger, Tom Coster, and Greg Phillinganes contributed their signature sounds to a huge array of voicings. 2 sets of nine draw bars can be extensively controlled while percussive effects add that authentic "thunk" to notes. 3 amp simulations deliver real rotary speaker, classic tube amp, or preamp only sounds. An adjustable split function lets you use 2 sounds at once to create upper and lower keyboards. Or plug in a second MIDI board to re-create the dual manual-playing experience. The Korg CX3 combo organ's 61 keys have ultrafast response speed for authentic trills and glissandi.

I purchased the CRX right before band practice and haven't even had time to put it into the case. We pulled it right out of the box, opened the instructions to the MIDI section so I could connect my E-mu PK-6 up with it. We plugged in the power, adjusted the levels, and then we were transported into heaven.I wanted to see how intuitive the controls were so I played the first session sans instructions. I was able to transpose when needed, jump to a large variety of presents, and enjoy the pleasure of manipulating the drawbars while playing.During the first break all the guys agreed that the CX3 had the most authentic Hammond sounds we've heard.The key action was fantastic! Being raised on Hammonds I felt right at home. The feel was light and highly responsive - not to mention fast!I'll post more later after I really learn how to use this puppy.

I had played a B3 30 years ago and , of course, loved it. I also gave up on a B3 because of the size, weight and maintenance. I seriously started looking for a similar sound several years ago and spent a lot of money on software, sims, leslie simulator pedal and keyboards with digital draw bars. I test drove all the clones and my opinion is the CX3 is the closest to the B3. The Hammond, Roland and Nord have outstanding simulation but I bought the Korg.
I LOVE this instrument. True, a player can tell it's not a real B3, but it can be very close if you do it right. I played this side-by-side with clones by Hammond, Roland, Native Instruments, and several others that tried to do more. Nothing came close to the Cx3. The Leslie simulator is pretty good, but play the Cx3 through a real Leslie and I doubt you can tell the difference in this and the sound of the real B3.

Love the sound and leslie sim. Comparable to my B but a lot lighter. Leslie sim very good in stereo amp or recording. Good parameters and intuitive editing. Not a Hammond but a great sub. Anyone who thinks this doesn't sound good has a tin ear or has never heard a Hammond B. Some quality issues, nothing major.
Its got everything an organist would ask for.Excellent sound, top notch Leslie sim, beautiful playability and the looks...refined.

I've owned this organ now for about 5 months. I have always been an old school Hammond b-3 player, but just can't lug around the weight anymore. The Korg CX-3 is about as close as you can come to the fabulous "B" sound. The Leslie Sym is also very realistic. What a winner!
I am so pleased with this purchase. My fellow musicians are blown away by the tones that come from this organ.
This is it, the most inspiring to play keyboard I ever had.The Leslie sim is fabulous.Kudos to KORG engineers.
Does B-3 better than the others (Roland/Hammond) Better Leslie than the Motion Sound that I quit using. Better usable sounds than my Motif for stage use.
