Seven-octave stage piano.

Here is the 76-key version of Kerzweil's much-beloved Forte Series keyboards. It is a superb stage piano with accurate action that an accomplished pianist can really dig into. It has a spectacular piano sample, which has always been Kurzweil's competitive edge, they having been at the forefront of detailed sampling technology since its inception, and having remained at the cutting edge ever since.

But man does not gig by piano alone, so the Kurzweil Forte 7 has the expected wide complement of commonly used sounds. It has a magnificent collection of Rhodes patches, organ patches, strings, brass and reeds, synth, and a wide selection of specialty timbres. There are numerous smart features under the hood that make for easy performance organization, focused studio performance and many other features:

¢ A stunning new German 9' Grand Piano, expertly sampled and voiced by industry-leading sound designers
¢ A superb new vintage Japanese 7' Grand Piano, likewise expertly sampled and voiced
¢ New proprietary FlashPlay technology provides 16 GB of sample content with zero-loading time
¢ "Best of" sounds from the PC3 Pro Series
¢ Synthesizers, electric guitars, horns, drums and percussion from the popular PC3/K Expansion Pack
¢ Front panel Master FX section with compression and 3-band EQ with sweep midrange
¢ Four user-configurable zones with 23 customizable MIDI controllers PER zone
¢ Modeled after classic Hammond, Vox and Farfisa organs. All the controls you need including nine realistic drawbars
¢ Sounds from the legendary VA-1 Virtual Analog Synthesizer
¢ Software Updates and Data Storage via USB/Computer and USB Flash Drive
¢ Get deeper into editing. Take control from your Mac/PC or iPad
¢ Plug in and jam along with your favorite music player

The Forte 76 represents Kurzweil's edge in sample accuracy and design, and the appropriation of contemporary concerns such as weight and programmability for efficient performance management.

Comments about Kurzweil Forte 76-Key Stage Piano:

I've used Kurzweil for the past 20+ years. During that time, I've switched between a Kurzweil and a Nord stage. The Forte has taken all my favorite Kurzweil sounds and packaged them into their best controller yet. I actually just sold my Nord stage 2. (Not that it takes its place, but the Kurzweil can get all those same sound, just not with the same ease of twisting a know the way Nord does). The only downside is that this board is heavy. The action is nice, it is consistently heavy, unlike a Nord, which is more like a Yamaha piano with a friction zone and then a break to the bottom.
