I tried for two weeks to get it to work with Pro Tools LE 8 without success. I spent hours updating drivers, configuring and reconfiguring my settings, installing and uninstalling software, reading user forums, talking on the phone with various help desks...it was a waste of time. The software never recognized it. It's funny because the DirectLink feature is advertised as a seamless interface with all major software. If you are running Pro Tools, stay away.

I am an experienced musician, using this for studio work right now with no live performances. It works really well for what I'm doing with it. (Electronic dance music and indie electronic pop music.)
I think it would work very well for live performance too, I just haven't had the opportunity yet.
I use this with Ableton Live, Native Instruments Reaktor, NI Massive and Propellerheads Reason. Works flawlessly. Highly recommended.
The only drawback I see is that it only has eight drumpads, I'd rather have sixteen, but for the price it is a greatly valuable music production tool.

I can't believe this actually happened, but: I received this keyboard and it wasn't even fully assembled! There were screws falling out of the bottom of the body and there are parts rattling around inside! On top of that, the shell is cracked above the 25th key and the last 5 keys are all marred. I have never, ever seen anything like this in years of ordering gear online. To make things worse, MF won't issue me a refund because I used PayPal when I checked out. After over 10 years of doing business with MF, I will never order from them again. This is positively the worst experience I've ever had.

I think this Axiom 25 is great, plugged it in and Logic immediately found it and I was ready to go. I've had it about 2 months, its a lot of fun to play. Definitely recommend it.
