Overall:

I am very satisfied with this keyboard. You won't find an 88-key, weighted hammer keyboard anywhere else for close to this price.

Pros:

  • WEIGHTED KEYS- this feature is essential for someone learning to play the piano. The keys are senstive to touch, allowing more dynamic sensitivity and overal musicality. Of course, it doesn't feel exactly like a real piano but it does come close.
  • 88 KEYS
  • SIMPLE- you won't find 100's of different voices or fancy effects on this keyboard. If your priority is to improve your classical piano skills, you don't need these. The simplicity allows you easily figure out the features it does have, like recording, a metronome, transposition, etc.
  • HEADPHONE OPTION- this is great for someone living in an apartment who doesn't want to disturb the neighbors.
  • SUSTAIN PEDAL- the pedal isn't great, but it serves it's purpose.

Cons:

  • HEAVY- don't expect to travel with this keyboard. Because of the weighted keys, it is heavy.
  • INCONSISTENT- a few of the keys are a bit inconsistent, they seem to stick a bit. Not a huge problem, and may go away with more playing

Overall, this is a great deal on a very good keyboard. For the beginning-intermediate classical pianist, I think this is a very good option if you're on a buget.

You Get What You Pay For

Features:

Only needed piano and ePiano sounds.  Nothing great but adequate.

Quality:

The Williams Allegro digital piano arrived just in time for Christmas. When my son opened it, three of the keys were dislocated and loose. We contacted Musiciansfriend and they promptly sent a return form, and they sent us another one.  When this one arrived it was not damaged.

The problem with this keybaord is that the touch is not consistent. Middle C plays as if you're hitting it harder than you are, and the D plays very very quiet and you have to hit D hard to make it audible. Anytime you play something with the C note in the chord or phrase, the C is way too loud and the D is barely audible. It's really annoying.

I was inclined to return it for a refund, however, my son is only using it for a practice keyboard. You would not be able to use if for a performance.

Value:

This was cheap!  I would not buy another one though.

Overall:

This keyboard is very low quality.  But is fine for using as just a practice keyboard. Not for performance in any way, shape, or form.

Features:

I bought this unit as a piano. The eight voices are nice. The tonal adjustments, chorus, reverb, layered and split ,allow for the personalization of the tone. The simplicity of the controls makes for easy use.

Quality:

The weight of the unit says quality.the appearance shows great care to detail.

Value:

I on a Yamaha 235 which I thought was a great keyboard. However, the price of the Williams Allegro makes a higher level of preformance affordable.

Overall:

I am amazed by the quality of sound ,the feel of the keys, and the beauty of appearance. It is very lean with clean lines ,high functionality and no unnecessary embellishments.

Great Piano for the Price

| Review By: A.J. Minhas | 1 month, 3 weeks ago

Features:

I bought this piano for my wife, who has been learning and practicing for the past few years. We returned her mother's Yamaha keyboard, which was servicable for practice. However, before I purchased this, I asked her if she was really serious and she was. We set this up on Christmas day and I was astounded by the feel and sound of this electric piano. I played a few bars from a couple of Christmas carols to get the feel and tone, but the demo really displayed the true versatility of this piano. Obviously, if you play a piano professionally, this is not going to meet your needs, but for those of us who are amateur pianists and want a little bit more than a plasctic keyboard from Wally World, this is the ticket. It even looks elegant and expensive. My wife put some headphones on and practiced for many hours last night. She really likes it.

Quality:

Solid amateur piano.
