The piano arrived 10 days after ordering. The piano in the shipping container weighs around 188 lbs. The piano itself was fairly easy to assemble and even came with a FREE screwdriver.... I ordered a list of stuff including this piano and spent well over $1200. The ONLY thing that was backordered was the "free" gifts that comes with the products... Now for the piano, it's extremely beautiful. If connected to a sound system the sound is extremely good and can easily be compared to a high dollar Roland or Yamaha. Without the system the sound is very muddy (the speakers are on the bottom of the keyboard. I didn't really care for any of the sounds except for the grand piano and organ voice. The rest sounds cheap. The piano is sturdy and I had no problems with the "holes" lining up like stated in previous reviews. I think the eyes of the person putting it together are a little crooked. Overall the piano is worth the money.

I am a music teacher who bought this digital piano as a temporary instrument to help me begin my studio. I wasn't expecting a fabulous piano, but I was surprised how terrible this instrument was. First the pre-drilled holes weren't aligned for assembly. The keys and pedals are stiff and insensitive. The sound quality is very poor. Finally, about 9 months after we purchased it, it wouldn't even turn on. Do not be lured in by the cheaper price. You wll get far less than you paid for.

Comments about Williams Symphony Elite Digital Piano:

I like it very much both as a piano and a beautiful peice of furnitrue which adds culture value to my living room. For the money, it is really a great buy. The sound is highly acceptable, after all it is only for beginners or intermidiate players. It looks fancy. The $ 100 more is worth it.But the pedal problem waits to be solved. It will be too much to ship back a thing that 180 pounds.
It is a beautiful piece of workmanship. It looks very elegant. The sound is fine for the money. However, the pedals don't seem to work. It is an envy of friends who come to visit. People say if you use it for three years, that is less than a dolar a day. I highly recommend this piece . It is worth $100 more than not" Elite" v ersiopn. Go ahead and buy for yourself or family. You won't regret. But you must get the pedals to work first.

Great feel, Cheap build.

By Mister P

Comments about Williams Symphony Elite Digital Piano:

I bought this piano second hand at a really good price. I was most pleased by the hammer action and general feeling of the keys. The sounds are general midi. Somewhere between "acceptable" and "good". I could play it every day without the sounds annoying me but I wouldn't cut a record with this. The speakers are located underneath, for what it's worth. It makes an interesting resonating effect on the body of the piano on a whole, dare i say almost like a real instrument.

What SUCKS is the particle board/ MDF/ vinyl laminate construction. If I can compare it to anything, it would be IKEA furniture. If you set this up in your house, avoid moving it. Unscrewing the legs and backside to move it greatly reduces the chance that it will all fit back together again. Mine came in pieces so I had no choice. I will second one of the other raters notion that it can be very frustrating to get all the holes to line up together. You see a lot of the used ones on this site have no legs. They more than likely broke or people got frustrated and threw them out. In short, set it up once, be gentle with it (the pedals especially), and you shouldn't have problems.

At the end of the day, it is a joy to play. I'm moving on to something that is less like a piece of furniture.

Very Happy

By Mandy Yasinski

Comments about Williams Symphony Elite Digital Piano:

I bought this for my daughters who are just starting to learn to play the piano. The sound is excellent, even more so when you're playing at the max setting. The keys are weighted and feel just like a real piano. There are many features we haven't yet played with. Mainly the Grand Piano and organ sounds which sounds clear and accurate. The look of the piano is quite nice as well. Almost like a reall piano. The best part for me was the price for the quality. Definitely worth the money and more.

Not bad at all...

By Georgemat

Comments about Williams Symphony Elite Digital Piano:

I was looking for a digital piano for my daughter when I came across the Williams Symphony Elite Digital Piano. After reading the reviews available, I thought I would go ahead and take a chance on it. I must admit, I am extremely pleased! It took just a little over a week for it to arrive, as it had to be trucked via Fedex Freight all the way to Texas. Not bad, especially since free shipping was included. The package weighed over 150 lbs, so I was happy that the truck driver brought it into the house for us. I don't think they are actually required to do that, so I was happy that he did.It basically comes in 5 pieces, and not too hard to assemble. It took about 30 minutes, but could have done it in less than half if it were not the issue of the screws not lining up with the pre-drilled holes, as others have also complained about. The trick is to slightly loosen the pre-mounted brackets prior to attaching the screws. Afterwards, just tighten everything up!And just as others have stated, it is beautiful. Very much like a fine piece of furniture. The lacquered high-gloss finish makes it look much more expensive than what it really was.Although it might not compare equally to a top-of-the-line Yamaha or equivalent, you can't go wrong with this substantially lesser priced piano. Though not perfect, the sound - especially in the grand Piano mode - is excellent! And the weighted action of the keys closely resembles the real thing. My daughter, who has been playing for over four years, and who uses acoustic piano at both school and at her piano teacher's house, is delighted! She says it's very hard to tell the difference between this electrical piano and the acoustic ones! In both sound and feel!So far, I've been very happy with this purchase!

Pleasantly Surprised

By StephenC

Comments about Williams Symphony Elite Digital Piano:

This digital piano by Williams has surprised me. I have read all the reviews and wanted a good quality piano for a lower price than some of the other more well known brands. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with the sound, performance, look, etc. It looks beautiful in my living room with it's black ,shiny finish. The sound is very good for a digital. I love the 64 note polyphony that this piano boasts. The action can be adjusted to accomodate your own preferences. I love the 3 track recorder and use it frequently. Believe me when I say don't hesitate to buy this piano. I would not hesitate to buy another from this same company. Also Musician's Friend bent over backwards to help me with questions about features and shipping. If you buy this model, I doubt that you will ever regret it.

I Just Got It!

By B.HarrisM.M.

Comments about Williams Symphony Elite Digital Piano:

I really like my Williams Symphony Elite Digital Paino. It has a pretty good action and the piano sounds pretty good as well. It has many amazing features and looks really good with the black polyester finish. I had four cracks in the finish on one of the legs and a chip on the key cover when I got it even though it was packed well, but musician friends has been very helpful in a solution. I have shopped for quite a while and this digital piano is an excellent deal the money. I also added the gold warranty (3 years). Thanks Musician Friend!!!

Pretty Good!

By riekeant

Comments about Williams Symphony Elite Digital Piano:

I live in an apartment complex where pianos aren't allowed. This is a great alternative. To get a "real" piano sound, I'm sorry, but you have to actually own a real piano. I have played a lot of models. No this isn't the top of the line quality, but it is a big bang for the buck! There is a slight problem with the pre drilled holes not aligning, but it only took me about 5 minutes longer to put together. I almost pulled out a drill bit to ream out the holes a bit more, but I did get it together without doing that. It would be a good Idea to step up the holes a bit for easier installation.
