Compact and portable digital piano with authentic piano quality and a solid stand.

NOTE: LPS pedal unit shown sold separately.

Yamaha's P-105 is a compact digital piano featuring the oustanding acoustic piano touch and tone that Yamaha is known for. It is portable, easy-to-use and versatile for everyone from beginner to pro. It comes with Pianist Styles that turn your simple chords into exciting accompaniment. Play a chord and the Pianist Style gives you a full piano accompaniment. 10 built-in Styles offer the variety of backings to fit your performance and help you sound great. (Arpeggio, March, Rag, Boogie, Swing, Blues, Slow Rock, Jazz Ballad, Waltz, Jazz Waltz). The Rhythmic Styles give you basic drum patterns put the "fun" back into practicing and are a practical alternative to a metronome. You can also turn your solo act into a two-piece band where the dummer is always on time (8 Beat, 16 Beat, Triplet Beat, Swing, March, 6/8 March, Bossanova, Samba, Waltz, Jazz Waltz).

The P-105 uses Yamaha's “Pure CF sound engine,” a first for the P-series. This piano sound was recorded from Yamaha's renowned CFIIIS concert grand piano, which can be heard on stages all over the world. And letting you hear this wonderful sound is the built-in, true-circle speakers. The true-circle speakers vibrate naturally with good balance to convey full, rich, low-frequencies. Newly added tweeters offer a clear and brilliant sound due to their strategic positioning. Together, they provide and excellent balance of power and clarity.

Just as on a traditional acoustic piano, the keys of the lower notes on the P-105 have a heavier touch, while the higher ones are more responsive to lighter playing. The keyboard's sensitivity can even be adjusted to match your playing style. This Graded Hammer technology allows this lightweight instrument to provide an authentic touch.

The P-105 is equipped with USB TO HOST to connect directly to your computer for use with various education, notation and music production applications. There's also an AUX LINE OUT to connect to a computer soundcard, mixing console or powered speakers - great for recording or performing live. Since it's a true line-output, the built-in speakers remain on for monitoring as opposed to switching OFF when using the more common headphone output.

Comments about Yamaha P-105 88-Key Weighted-Action Digital Piano with L85 Wood Stand:

This was a gift to my daughter who needed a vent for her emotions when circumstances beyond her control threaten to drag her down. This was better than a vacation because it fit in her home, she can play loudly when she wants to, or quietly as a lullaby to her babies and it fit the budget... Thank you so much! And when the vacation ends her piano is still there...

I am completely satisfied with this piano.... it's amazing how much it sounds like an acoustic piano... it has such a deep, rich, and full sound... The "pianist style" function is fun too, it will play your rhythm chords while you play a melody with it.j The only con I have found so far is the sustain pedal that is included is garbage...I imagine it will last about 2-3 months before it breaks... apparently including a decent pedal would be unheard of. Overall a great piano!

Comments about Yamaha P-105 88-Key Weighted-Action Digital Piano with L85 Wood Stand:

Yamaha uses different versions of piano actions. This one has the Graded Hammer Standard (GHS) action. I have never been a huge fan of this kind of keys because there are better actions but this one has at least two pros: reduces price and reduces weight. I owned a P-85 that is almost identical than the P-95 and the P-105. Comparing this one with the P-85 that was released 5 years ago I noticed an important improvement in the sound. Now the voices samples are more realistic, specially the piano. The decay of the piano sound improved a lot over the P-85. There is also an improvement in the action even tough it is the same standard (GHS). In my opinion Yamaha has developed through the years a better standard.

Light, stylish, pleasure to play, cheap... you couldn't ask for anything more. Piano includes a sustain pedal but if you need the stand I recommend to buy also the pedal bar.

Just a WARNING. You're not buying what you're seeing in the picture. The bundle includes the Piano P-105 and the stand L-85 (a 100 value paying just 50 more.. a no brainer) but the bundle does NOT includes the three pedal bar LP-5A so you must pay another 75 for the complete bundle as showed in the picture. Anyway an excellent offer.
