Yamaha YPG 235 76-Key Portable Grand Piano Keyboard  

It is plastic and doesn't compare to my high end boards. This board is very light. The keys are very narrow. The action is kind of like playing a toy with springs under the keys, I don't mean this in a negative way because it is usable, just not professional.

Hard to beat this price.

I have a practice area away from the studio where I spend several hours a day. There, I have a second, less elaborate studio. I have a 61key psr yamaha which is OK, just not enough keys. However, I love the sound of the 61key. This YPG235 has 76 keys and the sounds are quality enough and is very similar to the psr. The sequencer is easy to use. It has a dual button which adds a usable other voice such as strings with piano, similar to a combi. Favorites list stores a handful of voices. The keys are very narrow and feel like springs are pushing them back up.It does have velocity, I don't know how much but it seems 3 or 4 levels. It has a single 1/4 line out. It has a bunch of extra voices such as strings, pads, orchesral, etc. The onboard speakers are surprisingly nice. Power on is like 5 seconds. Make sure you have an AC power converter, that is not included. Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase. This does what I wanted it to and with 76keys I'm not limited much on the low end. I don't think I would perform with it but in a pinch who knows, It sounds decent enough through the monitor. Why I bought it- 76 keys, it's Yamaha, and most important...the price!!!... Hope this helps.

nice inexpensive lot of bang for the buck,the case could be beefed up a little

I am a guitarist and thought it would be cool to play piano. I wanted and instrument that I could learn on and also use for jams. This instrument is light weight, has great sound and nice touch. There are plenty of different voices to choose from. For the price I think this keyboard is worth every cent.

The features of this keyboard are great. Still learning them all still.
