These shoes serve their purpose, but only if you use them right. Don't wear them to practice, then drive home and play football in the back yard in them. Keep them clean. They have a flat bottom, NO traction to walk in so be careful. But for drumming, they work great. Nothing is really like the bare foot feeling you have at home, but if you tour like I do, you don't want to walk barefoot in the places we have to play, lets face it. They are close to a boat shoe, but your ankle it totally cut out and it gives you great control. This is as good as it gets, so if your touring... Get this shoe-

Very disappointed with these. I was hoping for something that let me still flex my foot and maybe feel the pedal a little. These are stiffer than some sneakers that I have! They are lighter than my sneakers - but if you're looking for something that is as flexible as a sock - try PALISADES by Body Glove - they're a water sock. They look sorta like a sneaker, but flex like a sock and you can feel the pedal. They grip and won't slide on the pedal - so keep that in mind to determine if they work with you're style of playing.

Comments about dB Groove Drum Shoes:
Like I said in the "Feature" part of the rating, the toes are curled up and that is a big downer for how I play. I was able to fix it with a new toe stop. They are light and comfy and I feel like I could wear them a long time before getting tired.
I will have to go half way with this product (gave it a 5) because they have some good points and some bad points as far as the way that I play my kit. First let me say that I was disappointed in the fact that these were made in China. I spent some time in Korea and they sort of look like the same shoes they were making over there. Time will tell if they will hold up or not. The next thing is the toes on these shoes curl up. I am still wondering why they were designed this way. I am playing the Tama Iron Cobra's double pedal set-up and the toe stop on these pedals are way too short to keep your foot from climbing up into the pedal workings. Like I say, this is how I play MY kit. I also get up on the balls of my feet at times and for this position, the configuration of the up-turned toe works just fine. I got these shoes about a month ago and waited until now to write a review so I could give them a good tryout. I did find a way around the "short" toe stop of the Cobra's. I built a new one that stands 2 1/4" tall off of the pedal. This has solved my problem with the turned-up toe of the shoe. The shoes are very lightweight and that is a big plus. I never have played barefoot or without socks so I wear a thin sock with the shoes and they are snug and comfy.
Made in China, so we will have to see. So far they feel sturdy enough.
Should sell for less.
Comments about dB Groove Drum Shoes:
I have been using these shoes for about 4 years now and they are definately the next best thing to playing barefoot. I get a much quicker response time which makes my playing much tighter. Triplets are a breeze with these shoes. I thought by now that I would need another pair, but they are still in great shape. I only wear them for playing and not for walking around in. If you get a pair, you won't be sorry!

Comments about dB Groove Drum Shoes:
just got my db drum shoes in the mail, i think they are very good qualityt shoes. very good traction on the soles for better grip on the bass pedals, ultra light allows you to move fast on the pedals, deffinitly worth the money
Comments about dB Groove Drum Shoes:
I have had the same pair of shoes for almost three years now they are super light wieght and also have arch supports. Ive had the so long that ive worn all the grip of the bottom and this make them even better. The longer you wear them the more flexible they become.

I had been playing in my socks for the longest time and shoes just felt way to heavy. I tried a pair of db drum shoes just to see what everyone was talking about and WOW!!! These shoes are great nice and lite, great support, great value. If you don't have a pair of these, then your kit is not complete.
Comments about dB Groove Drum Shoes:
I have tried several different shoes to play in, but these are by far the best. Lightweight, comfortable; they make it feel like playing in socks....excellent value. Can't wear anything else now, so i will have to get another pair....
Comments about dB Groove Drum Shoes:
I purchased these DB Drumshoes on a whim. Once I got them I tried them on my practice kit. They felt a little weird at first but then I tried them on my kit. OMG, I can't believe how comfortable these things are. I'm also playing with more control and more speed. After jamming for 3 hrs my feet felt fantastic. I don't think I'll ever play without them now. One of the best products I have purchased to help improve my playing!
