My wife's father gave her, his 57 Gretsch Guitar. I got the case to display the guitar in our living room and the case has no mounting holes, What was the company thinking? It is a nice case for the money and it keeps our kids from touching it ,but you shouldn't have to drill holes in a new display case, that's why I gave it 4 stars.

The hanger that comes with the case does not swival. It is stationary. MF doesn't carry a replacement hanger to fit that will swival. I contacted String Swing.com hangers and their CC11N will fit according to the depth of the case that I gave them. You have 3 7/8" dept in the case. String Swings hanger is 3 3/4". You'll have 1/8" clearance from the tip of the hanger to the plexi door. The hanger in this case not swivaling is the only reason I won't give it a perfect rating. It's a very good display case for the money.

Alright here's my two cents...my best friend bought four of these things and i will admit they look really good and they make for some awesome artwork on the wall but...After looking at them i decided to build a few myself. i went to the local hardware store and got everything i needed to build three of them (including lighting for the cases) all for the price of just "one" of these, and i was able to make them match whatever color was on the wall sooo. If it helps, just save your money and make these yourself, they take a couple hours out of your day but in the end you have a great looking display case that you will be proud of, and your wallet wont be yelling at you.

Simple but well constructed. No instructions for attaching to wall. Ended up using brass screws to attach to stud. If possible do not remove plexy to install. Magnets don't close easily after screwing back into place. However, with a easy push it closes flush. Looks great for the price.
