IK Multimedia's AmpliTube® Fender® & StealthPedal

IK Multimedia has debuted a pair of innovative products that promise to revolutionize the way guitarists lay down tracks.

The first is the AmpliTube® Fender®, the only official Fender guitar/bass amp and FX software suite, made by IK Multimedia in cooperation with Fender. IK Multimedia's new StealthPedal™ is the first guitar audio interface/software controller to be built into a compact, wah-style pedal, allowing you to record, play, and control the included Powered By AmpliTube software or any other MIDI-controllable software, with the same feel and ease of use as a traditional guitar pedal. StealthPedal is an affordable USB-powered audio interface that also works as a software floor controller, allowing anyone to record guitar or bass via Macs or PCs with 24-bit A/D and D/A conversion and 44.1/48kHz operation. Two separate inputs are provided for Hi-Z or line level instruments as well as two separate outputs, plus a convenient headphone output. Schecter C-1 Blood Moon

A striking new finish and inlays highlight the Schecter C-1 Blood Moon. Gretsch G5135 Stump-o-matic Corvette

The Gretsch G5135 Stump-O-Matic Corvette is the signature model growing out of the vision of Fall Out Boy's Patrick Vaughn Stump and the circuit wizadry of Tom "TV" Jones. It features 3 MegaTron pickups with a special two-position rotary switchthat allows you to keep things traditional or you may choose to dial in the middle pickup in multiple combination settings that includes having all three pickups on at the same time. Fender California Sonoran SCE Custom Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar

The Fender California is a Fender acoustic that thinks it’s a Strat. A solid-spruce top acoustic for fans of vintage-style Fenders who want a different look, and an electric with Fender FTE-3 electronics with 3-band EQ for players who want an acoustic-electric that’s easy to play anywhere, anytime. The soft C-shaped maple neck and electric-type strings make it easy to play. Strat guitar headstock, vintage pickguard, and SoCal colors provide the Fender vibe. Available in January.

Fender Ukulele Series

Leo Fender’s first electric guitar was a Hawaiian lap steel guitar, which led to his producing the Telecaster, so it seems natural that Fender would produce its first-ever Hawaiian ukuleles featuring Fender Telecaster-shaped headstocks. All three ukuleles are tenor models: The Fender Ukulele Hau’oli—the Hawaiian word for happy—is a basic model with sturdy all-mahogany construction and satin finish. The Fender Ukulele Nohea ("lovely") is built of laminated koa, a native Hawaiian hardwood used by ancient Hawaiians to build dugout canoes. The Ukulele Pa’ina is a top-line model and gets its name from the Hawaiian word for party. It’s all solid mahogany with a satin finish and an onboard passive pickup with endpin jack that lets you plug in and turn it up. All three ukuleles come with a gig bag and ukulele instruction book.

Fender CD-160SE-12 12-String Acoustic-Electric Guitar

The new Fender CD160SE-12 is a solid spruce top 12-string designed for the stage! This dreadnought features Fishman Aero electronics with a built-in tuner, a solid spruce top, mahogany back and sides, rosewood fingerboard with snowflake inlays, and chrome die-cast tuners. Available in January.

Fender Eric Johnson Strat

A rosewood fretboard and new finish options are the calling cards of the new Fender Eric Johnson Stratocaster RW. Like the Eric Johnson Signature Strat, the Eric Johnson RW has the features specified by Eric including a ’57-style 2-piece alder body finished in thin-skin nitrocellulose lacquer; a quartersawn maple neck with bound round-laminated 12" radius fretboard; a three-ply parchment pickguard; pickups voiced by Eric himself; staggered vintage-style tuners; and a custom tremolo block. The rosewood fretboard adds a little bit of warth and softer feel compared to the maple neck on the original Eric Johnson Strat. Ibanez RG420

How does a bubinga or cinammon top strike you for your axe? Those are the exotic top woods offered on the new Ibanez RG420. This natural brown beauty has a real custom shop feel with its thin, flat, bound, 24-fret, 3-piece Wizard II neck for fast and effortless shredding. Aesthetic touches include sharktooth fingerboard inlays and black hardware. A broad range of tones is produced by the unique pickup switching system. The neck position INFINITY 1 pickup is versatile and responsive with warm classic tone and added output from an Alnico V magnet for individual string clarity. ESP EC-401

Modern appointments enhance the classic single-cutaway, maple top, mahogany back, and set neck of the ESP LTD EC-401. It's loaded with active EMG-81/60 humbuckers for plenty of gain and tonal articulation. The thin, U-shaped neck and 24 extra-jumbo frets on the 14" radius fretboard make this an extremely playable instrument. TASCAM DR07 Handheld Digital Recorder

TASCAM has released the DR-07 Portable Digital Recorder, a handheld digital that breaks size and price barriers. Based on TASCAM’s best-selling DR-1, the DR-07 records to SD or SDHC Card media, and a 2GB SD card is included with the unit. A stereo pair of electret condenser microphones captures great-sounding performances as 24-bit WAV or MP3 files. The DR-07 is powered by AA batteries and files can be transferred to computer using a high-speed USB 2.0 connector. All of this recording power is contained in a compact, sturdy. Musician-friendly functions include the ability to loop and slow down playback without changing the pitch to learn new music. A mic stand mounting hole and included windscreen add recording flexibility. Available now.

JBL LSR2300 Speaker Series

The new LSR2300 Series Studio Monitor System delivers professional performance at a price within reach of any studio. Behringer B215XL Passive Speaker

Eastwest Quantum Leap Series

Three new entries from EASTWEST are creating a stir at NAMM.
The new Quantum Leap RA - PLAY Edition gives you more control over the sounds offered in the collection along with the ability to load even more instruments than before. EVH Wolfgang

ESP Limited Edition Graphic Series

ESP takes classic guitar designs to new extremes with the outrageous graphics of its Clockwork Zombie Graphic series. Gibson Custom Jeff Beck VOS Les Paul

Fans of Jeff Beck have been waiting for this Gibson Custom Shop tribute to the master electric guitarist. The Jeff Beck Signature Les Paul VOS is a replica of the Les Paul that Jeff played on many landmark recordings. This limited edition Les Paul had been lovingly aged by Custom Shop artisans with a special nitrocellulose finish treatment yielding the patina of a gently-aged vintage guitar with handcrafting that enhances comfort and playability. Each Jeff Beck Signature Les Paul VOS model has a solid mahogany back, carved maple top; and period-correct neck profile, hardware, and electronics including the full-voiced humbuckers that fueled many of Jeff's guitar exploits. Gretsch Chect Atkins G6120DSW-R Relic

From Gretsch, the G6120DSW-R Chet Atkins Hollowbody is a limited edition—only 50 made—tribute to legendary guitarist and his early Gretsch Chet Atkins Hollow Body models of the mid-’50s. The relic treatment features careful aging of its full western appointments, including a "G" brand on the upper bout, western-engraved fingerboard inlays, and a steer’s head headstock inlay. Other features include a 2 3/4"-deep laminated maple body, dual DynaSonic single-coil pickups, polished Bigsby vibrato tailpiece with vintage flat handle, Grover Sta-Tite machine heads, "arrow" knobs, aged binding, gold hardware, and Western Maple Stain finish. Epiphone Marcus Henderson apparition

Coming in February from Epiphone is the Marcus Henderson Apparition, a new guitar designed with the rock and heavy metal guitarist who has performed guitar tracks for dozens of songs featured in the Guitar Hero video game. This signature guitar is in the style of Marcus’ first guitar, an Explorer. Available in February.

Danelectro Dean On 58 Longhorn

Some instrument designs are just too cool to leave behind. That’s why Danelectro has come out with its "Dead on 58" Longhorn bass. "Dead on" as in historically-accuate to the finest detail. Epiphone Zakk Wyld Bullseye ZV

Here’s a guitar you don’t see everyday—or even until now. The new Zakk Wylde ZV Custom combines two of the most distinguishable guitar shapes into one. With its double-cutaway "SG" top-half allowing for complete fingerboard access and it’s radical "Flying-V" bottom-half. It’s equipped with a set of high-output EMG-HZ humbuckers including an HZ-4 pickup in the bridge position and a HZ-4A pickup in the neck position. The smooth and fast satin-finish neck has a slim-tapered profile. Mother-of-pearl inlays adorn the headstock and the 12" radius Rosewood fingerboard. Fender Road Worn Series

Fender’s new Road Worn Series guitars have the look of well worn road warriors thanks to special distressing techniques that were developed in the Custom Shop for expensive Relic models. Consisting of 1950s and 1960s Strat models plus a 1950s Telecaster, these are not precise re-creations of those earlier axes, but instead are modern reworkings of those revered models, with updated pickups and fretwork for a bigger modern sound and improved playabiity. All three models are available now together with a P-Bass and J-Bass that have also received the Relic treatment. Available now.

Marshall MG Series

Marshall’s MG Series has been revamped for 2009 with new features that provide a vast range of quality tonal options. The new MG amps feature two channels on the smaller MG10 and MG15 models, and four channels on the rest of the series. FX models are loaded with digital reverb, chorus, phaser, flanger, and delay effects as well as user-programmable presets.
