Bullet-Proof American made(saint Louis, MO.) Bass. I have played Englehardt Basses for many,many years. (since the mid eighties)They are top-notch great sounding basses at a working musicians price. DO NOT hesitate to buy one. You will never be sorry. I've been all over the world with these basses. (I've owned three) Now own an ES9. I've played in the rain on a train in Spain with one of these! I don't play jazz but...I do play Bluegrass,Honky-tonk,western Swing, Rockabilly and Jump Blues. Get one and own it for life!

Best bass Ive used!!! ts such a good luck, feel, and outstanding tone. If I were you, I wouldnt buy this for orcheastral use. Unless thats the only genere you do. When I play this, I feel likeRufus Reid!!
This bass, if you get the outfit, comes with a really case, and at the store I went to to play it, it came with the best pickup ive ever played on.
The quality is like no other!!! When I first see it, I kow this is a high quality bass!! Te wood is very smooth for quick play on the nek. It is also very light, for a bass. The bridge is placed very well so that the strings are close to the neck without it buzzing. Thats why I love it as a jazz bass.
Its a great price for the bass. I'd uy f I had the money. Thats what im saving up for now!!!!!

I've owned my ES9 for about a year and I'm very happy with it. I had it professionally set up with all gut strings. It's got good sound quality and excellent volume. The bass is very solid structurally and it looks great. The ES9 has been around for a long time. This is an American-made bass. It's been a very solid, trustworthy performer for me and I highly recommend it.
