I bought this bass because I needed a bass to practice on at home for my jazz band. The biggest problem ive had with this is the tuning knobs. They are absolutely horrible. Needs new strings but that's a given. I would also recommend to replace the bridge. Basically the hardware in general is crappy, but you get what you paid for. As far as tone goes I was surprised. It had a nice sound to it for how cheap it was. I would definitly recommend this for beginers or someone that needs another bass to practice with. It is definitly worth the price. If you want to put some time and money into it, it can be an alright bass.

I got this for a steal used from Musicians Friend. There were significant scratches in the body but the damage was purely cosmetic.The bass was unplayable out of the box, as all of these instruments are, but once I put on a set of weedwhacker pro's and got it professionally set up by John at Upton Bass, and it sounds amazing. Great response, double and triple slaps are a breeze. Nice sound, especially when amplified. I've used this live to great effect and will be using it to record my next album.Highly recommended for rockabilly/psychobilly/country players, anyone looking for a good value slap bass for short money!

This bass really wasn't as bad as I thought it would come out to be. Very comfertable and can be easly adjusted. It doesnt have the best quality tone out there, but you get What you pay for. Overall, I think this bass is worth purchasing if your an inexpierienced double bass player and/ or beginner. Definatly a thumbs up.
