i prefer my sennheisers for tracking/mixing, my triports for listening, and i use these for casual/sport but they are an all around great headphone.
better than anything you'll find in the price range guaranteed.
i used these headphones to listen to music when i go skiing, the in-ear buds i was using before would get really cold and hurt my ears (and they're bad for your hearing anyway), but these 'phones were perrrfect. comfy and solidly built, they fit snug and are easily adjustable and they dont move around unless you're trying to adjust them. they can be folded up small enough to fit in my jacket pocket with my zune if i'm not using them, and they're stylin' in a nice subtle way. they adjust to any size, i can wear them over my winter hat. akg makes great stuff. i even took a tumble while wearing them (haaa), and they stayed on in perfect position the whole time.
they sound great and are pretty solid. they do color the sound a bit so i wouldnt consider them studio 'phones but they make great listening headphones.
such a great price! i got them as the stupid deal of the day and it worked out great. affordable enough not to be bummed if they bust but solid enough not to worry that they will bust at all xD

I bought these during the "stupid deal of the day" figuring that, for the price, I couldn't go too far wrong. I wanted an alternative to earbuds, which I've grown uncomfortable wearing while walking around at lunch break. These AKG's fit me OK and are lightwieght enough to kind of forget about after a while. Which is good. Sound quality is surprisingly acceptable, given the low cost. I had low expectations, but these exceeded those. At least as good as my earbuds, but nowhere near the head-filling sound from a good pair of closed-back cans.
There are not many features on this simple pair of headphones. They do fold up nice and small, the cord is long and sturdy looking, and there seems to be plenty of room to adjust to fit most normal heads.
Seem to be built in typical fashion for a product in the price range. They're lightweight, the cord is plently long enough for even a very tall person to tuck an iPod in a pants pocket while wearing the phones. The spongy ear pieces seem like they may not last that long. It's a very open-cell foam, and I'm already wondering what I do if they start to disintegrate.
A really good value at the stupid deal of the day price. Less value at full MF price.

I was expecting much more from these... and honestly they don't even live up to off-brand standards in terms of sound. Very dissapointed.
Maybe I got a bad pair, but these are some of the worst sounding headphones I've ever bought. I was very surprised because I've had several pair of AKG headphones in the past including their studio quality and their portable ones and have enjoyed them. I did not expect this from something with AKG on the outside.
These have absolutely no bass response and an uncomfortable design. I tried them on my laptop, my iPod, my pro audio mixer and my work PC - all sound the same... bad.
I bought them on a Stupid Deal of the Day... now I need to find a stupid deal on return shipping.
