An Affordable Must Have...

Good headphones that do not break your pockets is something that seems a bit of a rarity.  I've owned numerous consumer headphones and a pair or two of nicer ones (some Sennheiser something or anothers) these blow everything I've previously owned out of the water.  They are accurate and comfortable to wear.   A lot of headphones color the sound by "enhancing" it, which leaves you with inaccurate monitoring but not these.  The AKG K99 give a damn good result to the listener.  My only complaint is that they are 1/8" for mp3 players and what not but it does come with a 1/4" adapter.  Usually I can't stand these and break the adapter within the first week but it seems sturdy enough for battle.  Why can't they just leave the 1/8" jacks out of the picture?  I will never know but yes, I've rambled long enough about nothing, just buy these if you are looking for a less than $100 pair of headphones.  Say word son.

AA sound B construction

Like I said, greaty sound/volume," especially for the price.      My only nitpick is it seems bit a bit lightly but no big deal for the price.

Standard package - headphones and 1/4"" adapter.      Wo uld've been nice to have a pouch but no big deal.

Sound quality is fantastic!      I got them for recording/jamming/listening to extreme metal and they are great.      Great bass and most importantly", great clarity!      Also extremely loud.      The only reason I gave it an 8 is because the construction feels like it'd be easy to break.      Lightweight though and extremely comfortable

Best headphones I've heard for the price just wish the construction was tougher.

they have a great sound. really clear. good lows vary smooth. the only thing is that the 1/4 adaptor got ripped to shreds (not exaggerating) when i tripped over the ridiculously long cord... like really. is there a need to have a cord that long. i can almost walk to the corner store without taking them off. but other than the connectors being crap and the cord being too long, id say there pretty good. and if your wondering. i put the adapter back together and it works fine. but everything is all bend and what not.

Bought these recently to use with a mic going into a Behringer 1202FX mixer so the wife can rehearse songs for church. This is my first experience with AKG products, and I gotta say, I wish I had given them a try years ago. They're really comfortable (the wife wears them for literally hours at a time), and the sound was impressive. I've worn them while she sang, plugged a guitar in the mixer and played a bit, and listened to music with them, and the sound was great every time. Also, they're so lightweight, I thought the box was empty! Very satisfied with this purchase and would recommend them to anyone. Gonna get the 2xK99/art headamp4 package when next payday rolls around.
