OVERVIEW

Small, compact monitoring for home desktop studios.

Alesis Elevate 5 studio speakers enable you to listen to mixes, masters and multimedia content with impressive clarity and warm, full sound. Built using technology adopted from Alesis' award-winning Monitor One and M1Active professional studio monitors, Elevate 5 studio speakers are the perfect way to upgrade your computer or mobile device experience. Elevate 5 speakers bring out every detail of your sound, unencumbered and crystal clear. Their custom wooden cabinets have a dense construction that provides natural bass. Packaged in stereo-matched sets, Elevate 5 studio speakers deliver everything you need, all in one box.

Soundsational
Elevate 5 studio speakers contain powerful, five-inch woofers; crisp one-inch silk-dome tweeters, and dedicated power amps, all housed in custom wood cabinets. These crucial components were carefully selected and tuned to work in concert as a single unit. The result is full lows, clean highs, plus a detailed and compelling stereo image. Magnetic shielding ensures that you'll never have to worry about placement or interference with displays, TVs and other electronic equipment. And unlike passive speakers, Elevate 5 speakers have a volume knob built right in to the front panel for easy control.

Time-Tested Technology
Alesis has been creating studio monitors for nearly a quarter century. In that time, we've learned a thing or two about maximizing sound and sonic clarity. Elevate 5 speakers leverage Alesis' experience in designing studio loudspeakers by employing custom-designed wood cabinets that stay natural and neutral, regardless of the frequency content or volume.

Flexible I/O
The rear-mounted RCA jacks are perfect for connecting a mixer, interface, or virtually any other piece of audio gear. An 1/8" stereo connection allows you to easily switch to headphones at anytime. Connecting the speakers is just as easy, requiring only a single 1/4" to 1/4" cable (included). If you're frequently on the move, Elevate 5 is the speaker for you: they feature a built-in power supply so they'll work worldwide with no wall-wart power supply to lose! Elevate 5 studio speakers are designed to produce natural frequency response. But if you need a little more low-end punch, a convenient bass-boost switch does the trick. Trust your sound to the clarity, precise design, and premium performance of Alesis Elevate 5 studio speakers.

Comments about Alesis Elevate 5 Studio Monitor (Pair):

Been a musician for 48 years. In addition to guitar, I play bass, drums, keyboard and blues harp. Been making recordings at home for over ten years on a Tascam 8 track digital recorder. I also have several mixers, effects and quality mics. My recordings are for myself, friends and demos. I have extensive audio equipment. To hear playbacks other than through headphones, I had to hook up my deck to either a 1974 Sansui 39 watt stereo with JBL L26 speakers or a 120 watt Pioneer head with JBL 630T speakers. To do this, I have to switch a lot of wires around and it is an inconvenience. I had been wanting to get a set of powered monitors but decent ones were more than what I wanted to pay for at the time. I figured sooner or later, due to the ever changing technology, someone when come out with an affordable decent powered monitor. I saw the Elevate 5's, I read good reviews from various sources and decided to give them a try. They are pretty much plug and play. Initially, yeah, they don't have the sound of my JBL speakers but that was to be expected considering their size and cost. However, once my ears got accustomed to them, they do their job. I flip a switch and they are running. Much better than the isolation headphones I had been using. I can hear my mixes, especially the bass, much better. Nice flat response. I use a noise gate when I record and haven't noticed any unusual noise.I only have the volume on about 3 and it is plenty loud. If you are making home recordings for your own benefit, these are fine. You can also easily take them with you to a field location. Not for pro applications.

Comments about Alesis Elevate 5 Studio Monitor (Pair):

Aleisis 5" Bookshelf speakers are powered speakers. They have a clear, crisp sound. The treble rings and the bass is so smooth and clear, even with the volume turned up a bit. I can't find any negative in this speaker and cabinet pair. If I needed more sound, I would buy these same speakers again.

    Disappointed

Comments about Alesis Elevate 5 Studio Monitor (Pair):

I got these a few years ago, brand new in Sept 2014 for my home studio setup. I mostly used it for streaming music, light use, nothing crazy. By Dec of that year, all the high end disappeared and was nothing but low bass muffled sound coming out.

It was under warranty, and after multiple attempts to contact someone at Alesis, emails, phone calls, Twitter, yada yada, I still got nothing. So back in the box they went, waited money sitting in storage. I will never by anything made by alesis. Flash to March 2017, I pulled them out and now have my coworker whose and electrical engineer working on them. He said the internal board and wiring are pretty poor quality, as he should know since our company makes circuit boards for the semiconductor industry.

So we shall see if they can be salvaged.
Thanks for the support Alesis. Not.

I don't know what else to expect for the price, this is why I give it 5 stars, if you use the right cables you will get a good sound, clean and quite speakers, are the only 5" driver "pair" that I could find in this price rage, just what needed, and these work better than expected.

Comments about Alesis Elevate 5 Studio Monitor (Pair):

Managed to get this for a steal at around 165USD! Had it set up and playing within 5-10mins. First thing I noticed was the improved bass response to my previous monitors, while still holding up a crisp top end. It's maybe still a couple steps behind your Yamaha and KRK's, but really only by a fraction. Can't imagine many other home recording monitors that can top the value for money.
