A massively versatile makeover of the popular GL2200.
This dual-function 16-channel live mixing console from Allen & Heath is loaded to the teeth with the features you need for all kinds of mixing applications. The GL2400-16 mixer offers 4 group, 6 aux, and LR mixes, enhanced 7x4 matrix, multi-source stereo channels, and aux-fed subs capability.
When mixing front-of-house, the monitors can be set pre-insert as well as pre-EQ to prevent your house mix EQ and compression affecting the stage mix. Per channel aux switching means you can mix pre-fade with post-fade sends such as theater radio mics and sound effects. As a monitor console, the Allen & Heath GL2400-16's aux masters have faders, inserts, mutes, meters and balanced XLR drive. You even get a fader controlled engineer wedge feed. The Groups and LR mixes are still available to create yet more sends. In monitor mode the Allen & Heath GL2400 16-channel mixer can provide up to 10 mixes, for example 6 wedge and 2 stereo IEM.
Allen & Heath's mic preamp has an extended 74dB gain range with massive headroom able to deal with the widest range of signals right up to +34dBu. From a low-noise mix amp through responsive 4-band EQ to the differential balanced +26dBu outputs, every stage has been carefully designed to ensure optimum gain structure and the best sonic performance possible.
There are 3 master faders on the Allen & Heath GL2400. A configurable M fader lets you create an LR sum mono fill, an engineer's monitor wedge feed, or a dedicated center or sub-bass speaker mix from Aux 6 which means you can dial in exactly what you need from each channel. L, R and M each provide a dedicated meter, mute, AFL, and balanced XLR output.
The matrix is a big feature for corporate AV work, specialized recording and broadcast feeds, and personal monitoring. Smart auto-switching of the external inputs lets you add a common mono, stereo, or independent sources to the matrix. Cross patch from the stereo channel mic breakpoints to add room ambiance to your recording and IEM feeds.
Dual Stereo Channels:
These 2 multifunction channels provide a mic and 2 stereo line inputs each. Use the mixer's channels as mic inputs while the 4 stereos are independently routed to LR, or combine stereo sources such as backing tracks and reverbs while the mics are patched elsewhere. Or use conventional stereo channels while the second inputs provide additional returns and the mics patch into the matrix for ambience.
Order it now and give yourself masterful control over all kinds of mixes.

Comments about Allen & Heath GL2400-16 Live Console Mixer:
With features that give lot's of control over each individual channel and allows for preliminary control of EQ settings talored from critical vocl mixes to the driving sound of individual instruments this GL2400 meets all of the demands for the road as well as being equally sweet in the studio.
Moved up in class from a great 12 channel Peavey to an unbelievable mixing console thats easy to use has lots of features and is extremely quiet, the Allen and Heath GL2400-16. I've used this mixer for 9 months both in live settings and as a recording mixer in my home studio. Ease of insert lines from the effects rack makes it easy to curve your sound. If you find out later you need more more channels another 16 channel frame or larger can be added to the exisiting board with ease.
High quality components, sturdy rig to handle without a flight case but I suggest you spend the money for a good flight case if you use this unit in live sessions.
High quality at a reasonable price makes for a great purchase.
