Comments about Alto TS110A 600W 10" 2-Way Active Speaker:
I bought the 10" Alto to be a DJ monitor for mobile DJing. I wanted more speaker than I needed. All DJs know that monitors blow when they aren't loud enough. It was clearer and louder the comparable Berhinger. The Berhinger had a cool feedback filter but I chose the Alto because I didn't need the filter and I wanted the better sounding, louder Alto. When I first plugged it in and cranked it up the gain on the amp vibrated to the louder mic setting, when in the wedge position. I just taped it in place because I didn't want to deal with a repair or anything. It worked out fine for my 13 hour on/off DJ performance. It was a hot enough day to make me worry about overheating but it had no problems with that. The Alto gave me enough power to hear though all the stage echoes. It was so loud that the engineer was joking that he was trying to set up his monitors and huge main stage speakers but all he could hear was my little Alto. lol I wish they had the limiter light on the front of the speaker so you can see it while in the wedge position. Even though I had to tape the gain on it, I'm willing to overlook that solved problem, and I'm happy with my Alto purchase.

Comments about Alto TS110A 600W 10" 2-Way Active Speaker:
My band uses this 10" Alto as a floor monitor. It's a great speaker!
I first listened to this in person and couldn't believe how much better this sounded than the Beringer I had initially been intersted in. After hearing it, there was no comparison. If you compare the Alto speakers to other powered speakers of the same size (10") and power, they are in a class all by themselves. They blow away anything of similar price. The sound quality is really excellent. And they are very durable and well made. Sturdy--they seem to be designed to take road use with no problem. Comparable speakers of a similar size and power and comparable sound quality are twice the price. For the money, they have no competition. We love these speakers and are exremely happy with them.

Comments about Alto TS110A 600W 10" 2-Way Active Speaker:
Bought this to fill in sound on an acoustic amp combo PA rig. Am playing a Yairi DY62c and singing with a Sennheiser 835, both through a Genz Benz Shen 60 LT, and the vocals were tad thin. I got this to fill out the sound, and couldnt be more pleased. I run the mic through a TC Helicon Harmony GXT into the amp. The guitar runs through a Jam Man looper, into the GXT,and into the amp. Can either run the Alto speaker as a line out from the back of the amp, or use the stereo out from the TC Helicon to route it directly to both the front of the amp and the Alto. The ten inch speaker provides plenty of the depth I was looking for, and works great for a one man acoustic act. It really makes the Harmony pedal sound great. Very pleased with the sound.

Comments about Alto TS110A 600W 10" 2-Way Active Speaker:
This product is exactly what I needed. I'm the singer of a 5 piece band, and this product is clear and LOUD. Both of my guitarest play out of 100 Watt Tube stacks, and I can hear my vocals perfectly over them. I love this product. Just make sure to treat it well, and you shouldn't have any problems.

Comments about Alto TS110A 600W 10" 2-Way Active Speaker:
My primary use of this speaker is as a floor monitor for an ACOUSTIC group. I needed a keyboard amp and was disappointed in the costs and sound quality of the traditional key amps. I bought this for my keys and its become the bands floor monitor. It's extremely clear and has the capability of going much louder.
If you're anything more than an acoustic group, I'd probably go to the 12" version but for our needs it's incredibly compact and has an amazing sound.
PS - Not sure why anyone is complaining about 'Limited Functions'. It's a powered speaker, not a mixer. I realize the QSC's have more functionality but they also cost 4x as much. Relax.

Comments about Alto TS110A 600W 10" 2-Way Active Speaker:
I've had several PA speakers and these are the best, considering the price and quality, you really get nice clear sound and high SPL levels, the bass is good and the highs are clear, also the construction of the enclosure is quite durable. I use a pair of these in conjuction with a JBL EON518 Sub and the sound is enough to thrown a party of 100 people with a decent level of sound. You will hardly find a best powered speaker for this amount of money.

Comments about Alto TS110A 600W 10" 2-Way Active Speaker:
I purchased a pair of these for use as a stereo keyboard rig. Anyone who has amplified keys, especially organ, knows that a lot of clean headroom is needed. I also wanted something compact, smaller than the Yamaha MSR400 speakers I have been using, which will become floor wedges now. The TS110A puts out plenty of db for both stage monitoring as well as hitting the audience. The size is excellent and on a set of short (cut down) speaker stands, they don't take up much more space than the typical combo keyboard amp...but with lots more power, actual stereo (aimable) and a whole boatload of available bottom end for those "888" organ registrations and deep synth patches. With all that's going for them, a pair of these costs about what a combo keyboard amp costs and are lightyears better. The price is right there with the value brands like Behringer, but the sound and clean power are a step up. Beats me how well they'll hold up, but for now, these things are the bee's knees.

Comments about Alto TS110A 600W 10" 2-Way Active Speaker:
It's not a QSC, but it's not $1000 either. Somewhat limited functions on the back panel compared to other more expensive brands, but it has worked great for me both as PA speaker and as a floor monitor. Sound is great, it looks and feels well built. I've also had comparable Behringer speakers, buit I like these much better, and they're about the same price.

Comments about Alto TS110A 600W 10" 2-Way Active Speaker:
I bought this alto to go with my boss gt-100. It doesn't disappoint. Eventhough it is only a 10" speaker, the alto is pretty large, which surprised me when I opened the box up. I use the alto in my bedroom and it's plenty loud and has excellent bass, more than I need. When in wedge position, I didn't have to EQ anything but in normal position, I had to turn down the bass a bit. I set it for flat response with noise lift switch turned on as I heard slight hum out of it with it turned off.
I took my 6" speaker powered fender practice amp which is horrible with distortions because of the hiss and hooked the headphone out to the alto and sounds coming from alto were awesome. No more hissy distortions. The fan comes on sometimes but I can't hear it when it's on. It's that quiet. The speaker to me sounds very flat with no nasty trebble or bass. I also watched a movie thru gt-100 as sound module thru this alto and it was great. Don't even need an another one for stereo. Awesome speaker and the price was pretty cheap for what I've got.

Comments about Alto TS110A 600W 10" 2-Way Active Speaker:
I bought a pair of Alto TS110A 630W 10" 2-Way Active Speakers along with the Alto Zephyr Series ZMX122FX 8-Channel Compact Mixer and was blown away by the sound. I had a pretty good PA system that we had used for 18 years in churches, singing Southern gospel music with my family. The sound tracks that I run from my MacBook Pro and the vocal harmonies are crisp and clean, with just enough bass, at least for me. I wanted to downsize and upgrade, and am I glad I did. Alto may not have the name recognition of some of the other better-known manufacturers, but with respect to sound quality (and isn't that what's it all about) I would put them up against anyone.
