Comments about Alto TSSUB18 18" 1200W Peak Active Subwoofer:

I have both Alto 18 & 15 1200W. When I place the 15'' next to the behringer 15, or place the Alto 18'' next to Behringer 18'' then the Alto are always very weak. Both the Alto 15 and 18 have Volume on the MAX, while the Behringer only at 2 or 3, but the Behringer already way louder. If I used the Alto for the home use with the 6'', 8'' or 10'' midrange+tweeter then it would be OK. Overall it sound clean on bass, don't have one note bass, only the issue is it rate at 1200W max. The Alto 18'' sound like 200-300W. In fact this Alto 18'' a little louder and sound better than the Behringer B1200D 12'' sub. It is not worth it to have in my selections

Comments about Alto TSSUB18 18" 1200W Peak Active Subwoofer:

Added this to a stereo PA / keyboard rig to handle the bass which the EV 1512s couldn't. What a difference! Haven't had the chance to use it on a gig but it sounds great in my home studio. Running 88 note keyboard work stations, guitar, or a Fender Jazz Bass through it sounds fantastic. It does quickly find what tones baseboard heaters, drum snares, and almost anything else that can vibrate will start buzzing with though. Since I'm using an older stereo mixer (Mackie 1202) with 1/4" outs, it would have been nice to have both inputs on the Alto combined 1/4" / XLR- it mysteriously comes with the left channel a combined input and the right channel XLR only. An adapter on the right input easily solved the problem.

Comments about Alto TSSUB18 18" 1200W Peak Active Subwoofer:

This is my second pair of these cabinets, as I was so impressed with the first, but needed a little more low end for large rooms and outdoor gigs.
I have a complete Alto system and constatnly get compliments about our sound. Most people aren't familiar with this company, but my system performs like a champ every time. I have four TS115A's and now four TS SUB18's. Can't beat the value and the sound.

Comments about Alto TSSUB18 18" 1200W Peak Active Subwoofer:

We do 80 gigs a year and needed a sub that would hold up. We have had this sub for a year now and this is a great powered sub! Our band went to the local music shop and did a side by side comparison to JBL, QSC and Mackie. Sound quality was as good or better than the subs in this price level and the one above.
