The GOBOs are very nice and can be run either red or green and both colors if you desire. This unit runs cool all night and uses very small amount of power to run.

Excellent unit for the money! After you read the manual, you can exploit it to it's full potential. Right out of the box, and turn it on! You got instant show! Always a crowd pleaser and will also please your wallet! Use with fog for an amazing 3D laser experience! Use on board programs or have it dance to music. Can even be used as a backdrop in stationary mode. Comes with a remote too! Be cautious with the power of laser. Use safely! Beams are so powerful, it can shoot through the window to the place across the street! So be mindful of where the beams are shooting!

I bought this item to use in the session room to give a little "ambiance" to it when the band gets together to shake the windows. Basically, a change of scenery without changing the room at all. Might throw in a fog machine at some point as well as it has been suggested online these 2 items compliment each other well. It casts an amazing amount of bright, vivid images that don't make it at all difficult to still see what you are doing with just this unit on and nothing else. Set it in the corner of the room and it will cover the entire room including floor, walls and ceiling. It's really pretty amazing.
I don't have much experience with stage lighting, other than being the focus of it. As a matter of fact, this is the first piece of stage lighting I personally have bought. I bought this item specifically for the "pinpoint light" effect however, I have grown to like all of the effects in the short amount of time I have tested it. I wish the pinpoint effect would swirl, if it does I haven't yet figured out how to make it do so. It does swirl for the brief time it is displayed on auto mode. But if you manually select it it just sits there (static). Oh well, cool nonetheless. Since I don't have much experience with stage lighting I can't really say it is lacking any features other than what has already been mentioned.
Doesn't seem terribly robust, but it is a metal case and bracket. Of course, made in Peoples Republic of China (go figure). Power cord seems short, maybe 5' long. Impossible to reach a wall outlet when mounted 9' off the floor like recommended without an extension cord. So if you get one of these get an extension cord as well.
If I was to type what I paid for this unit, MF would probably edit it out. But I will say I got it as a restock and bought a 2 year extended warranty as well, all for 1/3 retail. So what can I say...excellent value!!! Even at full retail it is probably still a good value if you do stage lighting on a regular basis.
