    Best Uses

    • Uplighting

Comments about American DJ Micro Wash RGBW:

These lights are very powerful for the price. We have the rods on our dance floor that i wanted to light up. this did the trick. Just painted the rods glossy white, pointed the lights up (barely pointing towards the rod), and put the plexi glass covering that we had from our previous lighting on them. If you are using them as uplights you really need some some of thin covering to keep these lights directed.

    Fantastic Light for uplighting

    By NightOwlDJs

    from Louisville, KY

Comments about American DJ Micro Wash RGBW:

My primary use will be for uplighting/wash lighting. I wanted to keep the cost of each fixture affordable. I kept going back to either the Chauvet Slimpars or ADJ equivalent but got talked out of it once I found out they have plastic housings. Plus the fact that these have 1watt LEDs + white really (IMHO) stand out from other fixtures in this price range. I have put these side/side to ADJ p56p and they are as bright if not brighter, plus the colors seemed more vibrant. Last year was forced to use a mix between the two. I had the Microwashes in the corners with the p56p's on either side - another words the p56p's were the "supporting" fixtures. Colors seem to blend very well - -noticed a slight "shadow" when all lights are firing, but less than the p56p's and not noticable on the job.

With all of this said I used them last weekend and was very pleased. I have another job this Friday and a handful more this summer.

Pros: Small, Metal housing, 1-watt LED's, RGB & W, DMX pigtails (pro & con), Bright & Vibrant colors....EASY to set colors without a DMX controller....just press menu until you get to the colors and adjust from 1-255 in intensity.

Cons: Nothing really that is outside of what one would expect. DMX pigtails - they had to do it on this fixture and they have nice cable and connectors. . . Not a TRI Color LED

All in all I love these fixtures. I'm sure I'll swap out one day for tri-color led's but not sure when. I purchased 8 and plan to purchase 4-more before the season is out.
