Comments about Apogee JAM Guitar Interface for iPad, iPhone, and Mac:
The apogee jam might be the best equipment money I have ever spent. I am using a souped up macbook air as my main recording device. I am currently recording my own album using bare-bones equipment. I run everything into the jam. Guitars, bass, mics, you name it! If you can put 1/4 jack into it, it seems to take it. If you are recording 1 track at a time and on a budget, this is what you've been waiting for. I have dropped it once and it kept working fine, but I would not want to try it a second time. I keep mine in a tough eyeglasses case with its cable and that keeps it safe during travel. If you are looking for a simple recording device to use with your mac device that can deliver fantastic sound, break out the money now. I know some people have complained about the price, but for all the uses for it + the quality I think it's actually a deal.

Comments about Apogee JAM Guitar Interface for iPad, iPhone, and Mac:
35+ yrs. as a musician, 10 yrs. independent recording artist. This is by far the very best quality when using an iPad in conjunction with Garage Band or other recording software. The secret to the quality is that this is plugged into the lightning port not the headphone port, this makes all the difference in the world. It's 3x's the price of other similar pieces, but it also delivers 10x's the quality of signal without having to put up with noise or glitches. If it cost too much to afford right off the bat, save your money and wait to buy this before wasting your money on the other designed pieces. Buy this once and you'll never have to worry about this piece of the sound chain.
Pros
- Clear Sound
- Easy To Use
- Lightweight
- Zero Latency
Cons
- Pricey / Poor Value

Comments about Apogee JAM Guitar Interface for iPad, iPhone, and Mac:
This replaced an old analog input I had been using for years, that had terrible latency.
I don't notice a bit of latency with the Jam. Great product. Easy to use.
My biggest complaint is that it's a little pricey, but you get what you pay for.

Comments about Apogee JAM Guitar Interface for iPad, iPhone, and Mac:
This interface fulfills the promise of making the iphone or ipad a useful guitar practice and composing tool. The analog interfaces like iRig are noisy and subject to feedback. The Apogee Jam is noise free and easy to use.
Line 6 makes an interface that also plugs into the 12 pin connector. However, you risk damaging the ipad connector with the largish plastic body of that interface plugged in. By contrast the Apogee Jam plugs in with a cable -- a locking cable. It is a superior way to connect.
Finally you should know that all the popular ipad amp simulation apps now support core audio digital connection. You don't have to live with those lousy analog connections. Don't waste your money on analog.
You will not regret popping a little extra cash for this unit.

Comments about Apogee JAM Guitar Interface for iPad, iPhone, and Mac:
This is a great audio interface for iPhone and iPad.
Very easy plug and play on the go. I liked the fact that it is a U.S.A. made! it is a bit pricy but it is really a reliable AI that feels pretty sturdy. I use it for practicing and building loops on my Garage Band, and it does the job flawlessly.
Comments about Apogee JAM Guitar Interface for iPad, iPhone, and Mac:
It is a keeper for sure. perfect for GarageBand and probably other apps as well. it does not work with Amplitube but that is OK cause I like the GB concept anyway.
I like the volume level control. The sound is clean as water.
I like the fact that it is a US made.
It is worth it, but you are paying mostly for the idea itself and the copyrights. Altough made out of plastic, It is still well made and sturdy.
Comments about Apogee JAM Guitar Interface for iPad, iPhone, and Mac:
I can take it with on weekend trips. I will be using a lot this summer.
Just plug into you iPad or iPhone and I use it withGarage Band or Dave Mustaine's app. It's easy to use.
I haven't had any issues
It's sort of expensive but it works great so it's worth it.
