Comments about Audio-Technica AT2022 X/Y recording mic with 1/8" connector:

Great sounding stereo mic, not boomy in the lower range and not harsh in the mids or highs. Reasonable self noise hasn't show any problems in quieter passages, though your preamps will play a great part in that. Designed for use with portable recorders but signal can be split out for short distances with a splitter adapter (unbalanced outputs). Bottom line is it sounds good and that's what counts, very natural sound.

    Brilliant product

Comments about Audio-Technica AT2022 X/Y recording mic with 1/8" connector:

Using this with a video camera and a field recorder, and the design is perfect for both. It allows me to put the mic closer to what's happening (i.e. concert setting, video segment shoot, etc.) but keep the recording device back where it needs to be. A stereo condenser mic setup can be a real pain to move around if done the old way (two mics, mic stand mount for x/y alignment, two cables to the preamp, preamp, cable from the preamp to the recorder, etc.). This self contained unit replaces all of that, and folds up to fit in your pocket as well. Only the RDE NT4 has the same features, and it's over twice as expensive. This is an excellent product.
