I use this mic from my band(its old if it is theirs....) on my 10" tom. The rest I use Senn's 421's. I absolutely love the warm and bottom end it gives my tom. When I hooked it up at the gig, the first thing he said was "good mic".I was convinced. I am wanting to use this for the rest of my kit. It can take a beating.Worth it. Like most Audio-technica mics this lil fella is good for all sorts of uses. From bass vocals to kick drums this baby can shine all over. It is a little pricy, until you find yourself using it numerous times per session. A great buy, especially for project studios.
