Added this through the mixer in our PA and heard the results right away.
Hooked up to the recording rig and had no problems getting a quality sound.
Over all the BBE 382I maximizer is easy to use and enhances tones excellently. I would recommend its use any time any where from the studio to the live gig.

If you've read other reviews, it does exactly what others have said "like removing the blanket from your amp". I've been thinking about getting one of these for longer than I can remember. Very sorry I didn't get one sooner but in waiting, I did get it for a great price on a Stupid Deal. I recommend for those playing guitar and using any type of f/x. Very easy to use. You will not regret it.

I record, produce, and master. I just used this for the first time on a mastering job - a progressive house track. I placed this after a multiband compressor with only a limiter after it. Granted, it will react differently depending on what you have working before it. But with the multiband compressor dialed in, the 382i shined, confirming my settings on the compressor. Top and bottom dynamics increased nicely, and the mids stayed intact with a nice sizzle. This will remain as a permanent application in my project studio.

I bought this for my home studio. I intended to use it for tracking acoustic guitars and maybe bass, but I find that it works really well with the live sound of my electric guitar which is my main instrument. It adds a bigger fuller presence to everything. Its built well and only has two knobs so its simple to use. It would be nice to have seperate controls for each channel, but thats why this one is cheaper. It makes my home recordings sound more proffessional and thats what I was after with this purchase.

Fell in love with sonic maximizers a long time ago on my friends dj rig so when I saw the chance to get one...I leaped quickly. I love the sound it gives my highs & mids. Not to mention the bass it adds. Just wish it had xlr as well as 1/4 inch but my adapters work fine. Great buy!
