A fine piece of gear!

Features:

This has quickly integrated into my 'workflow' --- and I HATE that word --- so much that I can't remember what my composing was like before it! It's easy to use, intelligently motorized and makes what used to be chores downright enjoyable. Also, the 100mm faders make my mixes and fades more precise.

Quality:

Ever seen one on Craigslist? That's the standard I use for a reliable product...

Value:

Motorized faders, smart midi implementation, good (plastic) build quality --- what's not to like? And this has been around in the same form for a LONG time!

Overall:

Everything good, nothing bad. For the price I paid I'd need to look long and hard to find a fault, and then it would be some nitpicky thing. If you're in the market for a midi controller that will stay quietly in the background, then do exactly what you want it to do when you need it done this is the one for you.

I just purchased this product and I honestly love it! I read all the pros and cons from what people had 2 say, but owning is to different stories. Pros: The set-up was fairly easy after downloading the proper drives, I was up and running in pro tools under 6mins. Now when using the product I noticed the 8 tracks that were active and being used were highlighted on the pro tools screen which helped alot when knowing what tracks are what. It also controls every single aspect on pro tools, from the record aim, playback, rewind, fast forward and even control the 'active plugins' on the session from one single click or two. Cons: No LED screens on the board and the motorized faders are little nosey when clicking into place, but not un-barable from what I have heard others say. Overall: This product is very nice! I will eventually buy one more so easier mixing but for now one will surely do the job and for the price you can't beat it! Nothing compares to mixing hands on and seeing your automation come to life. Cheers BT

Believe it!  It just took me 10 minutes to start mixing with this thing in PRO TOOLS LE 8.0!  Yes you should download the latest firmware, updater, usb driver, and manual.  Setup peripherals in PT & set this for Baby HUI emulation and just like that moving faders and transport control as well as pan, send, mute, solo, and arm. CONS:  Motors are a little loud and I wish it had an LCD to display the track names.

Pros: It does what it says it does. It still works after 4 years. Cons: It's some trouble setting up the drivers. The motors are pretty loud, so you might not be able to track acoustic instruments or singing in the same room as this. The faders are not touch sensitive, so if you ever want to rewrite or tweak automation, you have to start from scratch, or do it with your mouse. MAJOR drag, and makes it so I barely ever use it. I'd recommend saving up a little more for something touch sensitive.

I normally hate Behringer products, but this thing is golden. It makes mixing so much easier to use a control surface, but if you want motorized faders, you really have to shell out a lot of cash to get that. But not with the BCF2000! This price is insane for what you get.. 8 motorized faders, 8 knobs, 16 buttons, and a load of assignable presets! The only thing that would make this better would be some kind of display for each track to show the name or something. Otherwise, this is quite great!
