I was looking for a large diaphragm for my home studio & hoping to find something affordable. The C-1 fit the bill. Granted it is NOT Neuman, but the clarity was unbelievable. It came in the sturdy black case for transport. I like! I have used it in rehearsal with my sound system and it sounded awesome!. I then recorded one on my new tunes, first recording acoustic guitar, then vocals. To say the least, I was extremely pleased. I will soon replace the plastic holder for a real shock mount. I would really recommend that. I also use EV PL84 mics mainly for live now. The C-1? As soon as I can, I am getting another one!

I didn't realize when I bought it that it has to be powered, you cannot simply plug it into anything. It requires "phantom power" which must be built into the device you're plugging into, or you must buy a phantom power supply.(I bought one for cheap). The mic is durable, BIG, and records nicely for my home studio. Good price for what you get.

I got this mic about a year ago and havnt really given it much use until the past few weeks..I never knew how amazing it sounded! I used it on a violin, an acoustic guitar, and a drum overhead and it sounds spectacular in all situations. very impressed. will probably get more in the future. I gave it a 4 in quality because my clip just randomly broke today :/ but thats easily fixable! BUY IT!

I purchased two of these mics some time back to use with my home studio. I've always appreciated Behringer's prices and have usually been happy with their quality, but this mic surprised me. For such an inexpensive condenser, the quality is astounding. Crisp, clear sound, durable, attractive. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a nice, simple condenser mic. I might buy 2 more, what the heck.

It was a kind of surprised to me but this mic is GOOD. It maybe one of the cheapest condenser mic on the market but as the ad said it sounds very clean/transparent. I used it for recording my vocal and I loved it! I use symetric 202, FMR RNC1773, AKG C1000 etc. and this mic became a member of my recoding team!

I bought this over two years ago and could not be happier. Use it for home recording and even use it live. If you buy one you may want to reduce the treble in your eq because if you don't the feedback is killer. Use it without eq like the user guide says and you should be fine. It is unidirectional but if you face a wall and turn the mic capsule around so it faces the wall and away from you you can get a very nice reflected sound, like a very short delay or room reverb. At this price you can get one for everybody in the band. I would say check out some music I recorded with it on myspace but that would probably violate the product review guidelines ;-)
