Ends sound system hassles with automatic EQing and feedback elimination!
This equalizer's broad range of functions, excellent S/N ratio, and outstanding audio quality make this an attractive unit for even the most demanding users. The DSP8024's integrated realtime analyzer permits extremely fast, precise, and fully automated equalization of rooms and PA systems. Its primary function is to provide stereo 31-band graphic EQ and 3 full bands of parametric equalization with adjustable bandwidths. Other functions include a fully automatic feedback destroyer and delay up to 2.5 seconds. Frequently used EQ settings can be saved and stored in a library for later recall. It features 2 - 24-bit DSP processors to perform equalizer/analyzer functions and 24-bit Crystal converters provide unbeatable audio quality. Servo-balanced inputs and outputs with both XLR and jack connectors are provided and large, LED-backlit, high-resolution LCD provides excellent visual status monitoring.

Add the ECM8000 mic and use the auto-Q function and your PA will sound as good as it can in almost any room. Full 31 band EQ and no phase shifting. Plus noise gate, 3-band parametric on each channel that can be manually adjusted or set to automatically find and kill feedback nodes. Reading the manual is a must! Replaces your RTA, EQ, Noise gate, and feed back destroyer, and it's cheaper than any one of those components. You can finally get your EQ set correctly, quickly.
This unit worked as advertised. We have a small church with a bose main system and more monitors than I care to list. Set up the ultra pro to rta two of the main monitor channels (wall mount nadys and floor fenders), put the mike right behind the pulpit. Ran the auto EQ saved left and right as 1 and 2 loaded them to the EQ and WOW! Great sound clarity. Had a friend comment that our small church sounded as good as a recording studio he was in. The ultra pro was a big part of it!
This isn't a bad EQ, but if you're in a hurry (when are you not?) it's not easy to adjust quickly. You hit a button once for every .5 db. SLOW, BUT GOOD.
I only used a pre-owned. There seems to be some gurgling noise created in the sound system. It could be a bad filter or capacitor. I am going to order a new one to see if that is the problem or if it is inherent in the unit.
I got this SP because I wanted the "best sound" I could get at a venue. Not only that, it had to be able to 'remember' each venue in case i returned. -And this product does all that and more. It's also got a feedback destroyer! Be careful though, setting devices like this one can be hard. (For a device with its complexity it was easy, but I mean engineering type signal processors.) Good investment, I'm going to buy more of these!
Although for a novice, this isn't the easiest product to use, the quality and the price is unbelievable.
The unit is easy to use, has great sound quality, and has all of the features one needs plus some that are fun to play with. It can take loads of user programs (more than I can imagine using. I like the large display it has. I have also used a similar DBX product and my EQ has some features that the DBX doesn't and is much easier to set up (however the DBX aslo integrates a really cool crossover). I have had several really good recent experiences with Behringer products and highly recommend them. I hope to get some time with the 8024's replacement within the next year also. I use the EQ at my house to match my JBL floorstanding speakers to my living room.
