A high-quality 10-channel mixer you can power with batteries.

The Behringer Eurorack MXB1002 10-Channel Mixer, like other members of the Eurorack line, offers great mixing flexibility. The MXB1002 goes a step further by adding the option of AC or battery power, while retaining the audio quality the line is known for. Portability makes it especially suited for location work, reporting, live broadcasting, and recording. It features 10 channel inputs including 5 mono, 4 stereo, and a separate stereo tap return channel. All stereo channels feature separate gain controls for mic and line inputs, allowing you to simultaneously run a mic and a line signal into each stereo channel. All 10 channels feature ultramusical 3-band EQ plus 2 aux sends. Inserts are provided on the mono channels. Phantom power and balanced 1/4" TRS and XLR connectors complete this fully professional package.

This mixer is absolutely perfect for small bands and location work. i use this to mix 3 mics 2 electric guitars 1 acoustic guitar, a Yamaha keyboard, and an electic bass.the battery power option is awesome! you can take this thing anywhere and there is no lack of power or performance (other than the the phantom power being reduced to 18v). the separate gain controls for line and mic inputs is extremely useful. our lead guitarist plays and sings so i can run him through only one channel with his mic and guitar.the only downsides in this mixer are that sometimes when you run both the line and mic at the same time through one channel you dont have separate EQ control and the signals get a little blended, and that there are only 2 mono channels. Running a low output device into one of the stereo channels results in having to turn the gain all the way up.Overall this mixer is an excellent buy for small bands location work and someone who needs many channels on a small budget. I love this mixer and will probably keep it for its portability even after i get a new powered mixer.DONT LOOK ANYWHERE ELSE THIS MIXER IS THE BEST YOU CAN GET FOR THE MONEY!!!

    Noise Problems

I have one of these and am experiencing disturbing noise when trying to record. It's ok if you have decent noise reduction, but not for potential pros. Good for bands making demos.

What else could you possibly need?

    By Anonymous

    from Undisclosed

I have used just about every brand of mixers in my 35+ years of music recording and live shows. ButI have never found one like this MXB1002. First of all, the EQ section is perfect. The Bass is at 50HZ, Mids at700, and HI at 10K. This gives a much better range of use when recording. Second, The Mic inputs are so close to TUBE sound I dont have to patch my tube pre in as often. Yes they are that smooth! Way to go Behringer!

    Great!

I needed a small inexpensive mixer. The Eurorack MXB1002 was recommended by a skilled musician friend. It exceeds all of my needs.

    Great little mixer

    By Mr. Chubs-65Yby

    from Los Angeles, CA

I originally bought this mixer in case I needed to do live recording in the field but for the past two years I've been using this mixer as the mixer for my small band. I use it every week and it has not failed me in any way. It is solidly built and sounds great. The preamps have decent headroom and are quiet. This is a solid mixer and I especially love the faders and 5 preamps which you usually don't find on a mixer this small. On cool feature it has is that on 3 of the mic channels you can plug one line device on each channel as well as a mic. Each is separately controlable by gain knobs and the fader for that channel controls both. It makes this mixer so versatile. Buy it. You will not be disappointed.

    Wonderful small portable mixer!

    By Chubs-FaEiT

    from Los Angeles, CA

This mixer is a great portable mixer. It has so many functions, such as 10 channels in such a small mixer! It is also battery powered. Great value. My only complaint is that it lacks a few features that bigger mixers have that would be useful such as PFL.

Great For Quick Fixes And Beyond

    By Uncle db

    from Huntsville, AL

This little mixer does a great job. We needed a quick fix at church for our drums, and the MXB1002 did the job. We ran the drums through the 1002 as a sub mix, then back to the main board. We got the 1002 set and all we had to do at the main was to ride one slide. And all it cost us was one large dollar! Hard to beat that deal.

This mixer is a great deal, I wish it had a separate 12 volt input - like to use it at a camp site or something like that. It works great and I have no complaints!!

Simply a great budget home studio mixer

    By nightmare7969

    from outside the US.

I got this unit by accident as I was looking for the UB1002. This unit is just great for a real basic (low budget) home studio: just your laptop (or PC) soundcard, this mixer and right into the mics or the instruments (if you prefer) not the best option sound wise but the mixer can support it. Incredible low noise and lots of pre-amp power. The addition of the FADERS and the battery powered option is worth the extra money. If you're into music but not plan to make a living out of it, I recommend this mixer as a tool to record your work.

You can't have one lying around and not use it

    By Samsonite

    from Canada

There are so many different situations where a tiny mixer is required, and nothing handles as many such situations than an MXB1002.I've used mine for portable preamps (out the inserts!), monitor mixer live and studio, jam mixer (10 people wired in!), effects mixer for FOH, live synth mixer, headphone amp, and it's my casual listening audio hub connecting my DAW, DVD player, dig cable box, and NJB3. If you think those uses don't collectively warrant buying this, you're nuts.I cherish my MXB too much to let it get bashed around, but it's a solid build and has seen extensive use at FOH, on stage, and in the field, and hasn't missed a beat. The box makes a good carrying case too.Tip: for prolonged field use get 3 $25 6V SLA rechargeable batteries and use it all day.
