A must for any keyboard rig

Features:
Quality:

Behringer gets dinged a lot, but I've had great luck with these rack mixers.  Good quality jacks, and a nice heavy frame.

Value:

There's nothing out there in the price range that matches the features.

Overall:

I can't add anything of value to the descriptions and reviews already here, so why try?

I can tell you this:  I used to own one of these, and I sold it a couple of years ago.  I've bought and sold a lot of gear over the years, and I've never regretted selling most of it.  I *do* regret selling the RX1602 -- enough that I bought another one last year.

And I just bought another one from MF, because it's one of the most integral pieces of my rig.  if it were lost, stolen, or damaged, I'd need a replacement ASAP.

Excellent Practicality

Features:

8 stereo channels in, pannable, and with the ability to send to monitor mix make this a very useful item for any small studio or guitar rig that has multiple preamps.

Quality:

I have no complaints about Behringer products.  I had a problem with a different piece of gear and they sent me a new one no problem.  This mixer unit is great for what I need it to do.

Value:

It's Behringer, so you can't beat the price.  Thinking about buying another one to mix the rest of my preamps together, then feed that into the one I already have set up.

Overall:

Overall this mixer is a bargain and has features that other units twice as expensive don't have.  I've had no problems with it and the thoughful touches like lighted mute buttons make it easy to use.  Highly recommended.  I run multiple guitar preamps in parallel and this is perfect to send the mixed stereo signals out to the bank of effects in my studio rack.

This 1602 line mixer really simplified various delemnas in my growing home studio.  This studio is also my computer room and I enjoy using my monitors for listening pleasure.  Going to the mixer is my DAW and everyday computer I use as a juke box, satellite radio, TV audio and preamp monitoring.  I would have a real mess on my hands without this single rack space mixer.  I've had it for at least a year and it has performed flawlessly.  I never give it a second thought about reliability, only marvel how I can have so many different components coming in then send out one clear stereo signal.  There are few line mixers out there with 8 channels, do not be afraid to buy this one!

Nice Keyboard Mixer!

I purchased one these mixers about 2 years ago to act as a keyboard mixer. I was a bit quality skeptical at first, Behringer is hit or miss sometimes. This mixer has 8 stereo pairs which can also be used as a 16 channel mono mixer. I have several rack mount synth modules that i run stereo signals from directly to this mixer, then I split the output - 1 side to an amp and the other to a recording interface. I have not been able to detect any noise from this unit in my recordings - dead quiet. Each channel has a mute function to allow me to mix and layer sounds from any or all of the modules hooked up to the unit. I purchased another to be at the heart of a smaller rig and I will be buying a third shortly. For the money, you can't beat the features, versatility and after a couple of years of use, no issues! Great buy!

Works great for drum mics

I bought this item a few months ago in an effort to ease the hassles of mixing drum microphones and free up some of the channels I was hogging on our main mixer. At first I didn't think it as going to work out, their "ultra low-noise" claim didn't seem to ring so true(lots of hiss), but after a bit of experimenting and tweaking it works awesom giving total level control for all mics and only takes one stereo input on our main mixer.
