Ultra-affordable guitar-to-computer USB connection with killer amp and effects software.

The Behringer Guitar Link UCG102 interface is an amazing practice tool that lets you connect your guitar to your computer in a flash, giving you the best of both worlds.

The UCG102 guitar-to-USB interface lets you jam and record using modeling amps and effects without the need for any other gear but your guitar. The compact interface links your electric guitar to a PC or Mac computer via a typical USB cable, allowing you to rock with sophisticated software such as the included Guitar Combos Behringer Edition from Native Instruments, Kristal Audio Engine multi-track sequencer and Audacity audio editor. It also features a Headphone output for silent practicing.

Classic Combos
Native Instruments Guitar Combos Behringer Edition* perfectly recreates 3 classic combos. The virtual tube combos have an absolutely authentic, dynamic and pure tone.

Guitar Combo I's popular role model revolutionized British pop music. From soft to distorted, this combo has a uniquely inspiring sonic character.

Guitar Combo II is the epitome of the clean and crunchy blues sound. Over the course of several decades, this warm and unmistakable sound has made a valuable contribution to countless hits.

Based on the famous tube amps that spawned the guitar legends of the late '60s and early '70s, Guitar Combo III embodies the rock sound. Its distinctive and individual tone can be as warm as it can be hard.

Get it now and take off with this USB interface.

* Fully functional demo versions of all three combos are included on the CD. These all offer the same features as the full versions but will only run for the first 30 days after installation. I purchased the Guitar Link UCG102 about a month ago & so far it works great.I'm using it with mixcraft 5 on an old dell 8400 pentium 4 3.4ghz  with 4 gigs of ram. No latency issues at all. I do recommend that you  go to the Behringer website & download the latest drivers. For under $35 you cant beat it.

Don't buy it!

Features:

I was trying to use this with Amplitube Metal and #3, but found out that it doesn't work properly with either software. There is too much noise in the background and latency is a major problem.  The output of the guitar does not match with the same time as I pluck the strings.  I tried different hertz settings but none of them seems to solve the problem.

I hate this thing!!

Quality:

Well housed and compact, but it does nothing for me if the product does not work properly!!

What am I getting out of something that doesn't work properly??

Overall:

I would not recommend this interface.  Better off with IK Multimedia Stealth Plug instead!.

This this is terrible. The software is very confusing and non-user friendly. both of the amp "combos" that it comes with make your guitar sound mudding, even if you are using extremely clear pickups. this is a total waste of money. I advise everyone looking at this to stop looking at this product and look at something more expensive.

My Honest Opinion

Worst purchase I've ever made! First and foremost, this product comes with three terrible sounding interface amps. Excuse my french but every amp sounded like crap. They all had terrible sound quality and there was this terrible crackling noise that I spent hours trying to get rid of but you couldn't, and it seemed like all three amps would sometimes get out of tune to my physically tuned guitar. The recording program it came with, Energy X2T, was crap and It took me hours to get it to work on Ableton Live and even then it sounded like crap. I've used other USB cords that are far more user friendly and efficient than this. I spent hours and hours trying to make everything work and get the right sound to come from the amp and my patients was starting to wear. If you want my honest opinion go and purchase a normal instrument USB cable at your local music store, It might cost ya a little more but It'll be well worth it. As far as recordng programs, my suggestion would be to purchase either Garage Band or Ableton Live.

Great product! Some important advice first!

The Behringer driver is great, but you need to set it up properly; may take a bit of testing. Very IMPORTANT is to set up the driver's "system performance" setting to "rapid" in order to improve latency by a lot. A cool feature I noticed is you can record left channel and right channel separately. I use Mixcraft, and it really helps if you want a clean signal track for adding effects/combos later, or for dual amp/effect chain setting in real time (depending on what DAW you're using).
