Behringer

Ultra-lightweight, high-density 1000W power amplifier with DSP control and USB interface.

BEHRINGER's iNUKE NU1000DSP, just like the rest of the iNUKE Series power amplifiers, packs massive amounts of output power into an exceptionally lightweight, rackmountable package. Behringer's revolutionary high-density Class-D technology, combined with an ultra-efficient switch-mode power supply, ensures this feather-light powerhouse will drive your rig effortlessly for many years to come.

Superb transient response
BEHRINGER spent years fine-tuning the high-density Class-D technology that gives the iNUKE Series its oomph. Because they are created with carefully selected transistors with extremely high slew rates and optimizing other proprietary parts of the circuitry, the iNuke NU1000DSP amp reacts instantly to even the most-demanding electronic bass impulses.

When this amplifier technology is combined with BEHRINGER's switching-mode power supply, it gives the iNUKE NU1000DSP amplifier its tremendous punch. Just like the rest of the iNUKE Series, they are so much more efficient than conventional designs, so they run cooler, and don’t require the massive heat sinks and heavy toroid transformers typically associated with their conventional counterparts.

Sublimely simple operation
The front panel controls and indicators provide your system's vital signs at a glance. After pressing the Power button, the Power LED lights to show the amp is ready for action. All channels feature positive-detent Gain controls with signal LEDs that light when a signal is present, as well as clip LEDs to indicate when the signal is distorted and you need to reduce the input signal.

The rear panel is just as elegant, with combo XLR and 1/4" TRS input connectors. This makes the iNUKE NU1000DSP compatible with virtually any source, balanced or unbalanced. Professional twist-lock speaker sockets are provided to ensure every drop of output power gets to your loudspeakers. The rear panel is also where you'll find the switches that enable the iNUKE NU1000DSP to work in either dual mono, stereo, or mono bridge mode. A built-in CROSSOVER switch enables the amp to operate in biamp mode, sending low-frequency content to passive subwoofers, while the high-frequency output is channeled to full-range loudspeakers (CH1>100 Hz/CH2<100 Hz, or FULLRANGE).

iNUKE DSP
For sound engineers requiring high-level control capability, the iNUKE DSP Series amplifiers come ready for action right out-of-the-box. The built-in DSP and 24-bit/96 kHz converters ensure the ultimate signal integrity with an extremely broad dynamic range. DSP functions include a sophisticated delay for delay-line loudspeakers, crossover, EQ (eight parametric, two dynamic), and dynamics processing with lockable security settings. A convenient front panel LCD display allows you to setup and make adjustments directly at the amplifier, without the need for a PC. The iNUKE NU1000DSP, just like all iNUKE DSP models, can also be set up, controlled, and monitored via the front panel USB connector.

Value
Sporting a massive output rating, lightweight Class-D technology, an equally lightweight price tag, and all the amenities a professional audio engineer could ask for, the iNUKE NU1000DSP amp is a serious amp for demanding applications.

Comments about Behringer iNUKE NU1000DSP Power Amp:

The Price was affordable and this unit sounds great ! Setup is a little wierd but does not require constant changes . The case is easy to carry , weighs less than average and is easy to mount . I would have liked more connection options but cable adapters are easy to make .
I have had great results with this brand over the years and will probably buy more of these amps .

Comments about Behringer iNUKE NU1000DSP Power Amp:

I received my iNuke 1000 DSP on time and without any damage. Took it out of the box and was amazed at how light the amp really is. Powered up with no issues. Good volume, this thing is loud, even with just 8 ohm speakers. Has no problem providing monitor vocals for a loud hard rock band. I have no complaints so far. I haven't played with the DSP yet, but it looks like there are a tonne of options with it. Search Youtube for an idea of what it does, its quite extensive.

Comments about Behringer iNUKE NU1000DSP Power Amp:

I got this amp because of the DSP features, specifically the crossover. The manual is worse than terrible, and because I was having trouble setting up the DSP features, I was on the verge of returning it. Downloading the PC application was what kept me from doing that. The application makes the setups much easier to understand. I'm using it as a guitar amp for smaller venues, and if you use a variety of guitars it has great features. I can bi-amp using the crossover, and set and save the EQ settings for each guitar that I use. It's definitely a keeper.

Great Amp For Horns on 3-way system or a lower power power system

Comments about Behringer iNUKE NU1000DSP Power Amp:

I think I've already summed it up. You can't beat the price point. You can save your back & have all the power and processing capability you need. The downloadable software from behringer is also a great tool. Very easy to program, found and was adjusting all the parameters in a mater of minutes without even once looking at the manual. I also own several Crown XTI amps from the 1000 to the 6000 and enjoy the Behringers just as much, even more when you look at the price point.
The amp sounds great, is extremely light, very quiet, great DSP options, Puts out 150 watts @ 8 Ohms (which is not mentioned in specs). I am still waiting for the 3000 & 6000 I ordered. I am sure I will be very pleased. Imagine a whole amp rack the weight of a single amp with a standard transformer. plus no speaker management system needed. Plenty of delay time for spacing speakers deep into a crowd to extend range. 2 band dynamic EQ so you can eliminate an annoying shrill in the upper midrange from a vocalist. or add a contour affect and boost the low end at lower volumes and the level the base out at higher volumes to protect the speakes from over excursion. the list could go on. But bottom line great DSP and and design.
So light it feels like an empty shell. Yet packs a nice clean punch. Even when pushing it hard for a while, almost no heat. That's efficiency. It's a new product so time will tell. But I like it so far, and no problems.
No othe company offers this much in an amp without being at least 3 to 5 times the price.
