I have to say I was impressed with this little guy! I had it connected to my home studio in minutes. Sound quality is good...I have it running out of a Presonus AudioBox 44vsl. I set the phones output on my AudioBox between 1/4 & 1/2 (depending on project), and the phones sound perfect. No distortion, very clear sound! Pots feel pretty good....I encourage making sure the unit is secure, it is very lightweight and could easily fall off your console if a headphone pulled on it. I plan placing velcro on mine to lock it in place. No on/off switch, but not a big deal. I run a master switch that controls all my equipment in my studio. I am very happy I purchased this little amp, excellent addition to a home recording studio!

Comments about Behringer MICROAMP HA400 Headphone Amp:

The volume from my TV to my soundbar was insufficient to produce a listenable volume. I feed the TV input through my HA400, and boosted the volume of the soundbar to its full capacity with good clean sound. Very satisfied with the HA400.

Comments about Behringer MICROAMP HA400 Headphone Amp:

Tried a couple other low cost ones, that were junk, I did discover if you see one with slider controls ,Dont get it they get all gummed up when you travel with it and they just dont work.(and are just cheap manufacturing) this one with knob potentiometers is great, smooth operation and very low noise. does the trick for silent jamming except if you got someone yelling and have real drums. cant go wrong for the price. some complain of having no off switch, but that would just add to noise.

Comments about Behringer MICROAMP HA400 Headphone Amp:

I love this device! Most people who buy this are using it for a simple, small, headphone mixer. I actually purchased this so I could play through all of my amplifiers at one time. [1 guitar in / 4 outs] - with the bonus of being able to mix the sound using the headphone amp - it works great for tweaking your sound if you use multiple amps and effects! In the end I will probably purchase a second one to use for multiple headphones.

I needed this for my home studio and was glad to find it for such a reasonable price. It does exactly what I needed it to do - route my recording signal to headphones at the drum set and give me some control over the volume as I listen to tracks as I record drum parts.

Great little device to connect many headphones for singers/players so each has a headphone to listen to, especially singers since you can't use monitors (feedback).

Comments about Behringer MICROAMP HA400 Headphone Amp:

People like to whine about Behringer gear; they say it's cheap and flimsy, or it doesn't compare to the "pro brands." Truthfully, it depends what you're buying. I've had Behringer effects pedals and amps that I've truly hated, but I've experienced a great deal of their live sound/studio equipment and, frankly, I'm usually impressed. Think about what this is, in essence: a powered splitter. Unless the connections get wonky down the road (which I don't expect, given the solid metal chassis) there's not much they could have screwed up in there. This box does exactly what I need it to do without complaint. Good on you, Behringer!

If you are looking for a 4 channel headphone amp that does not need to be rack mounted look no further. This little guy is built solid and works perfectly. Plenty of volume control, very compact and easy to use. Would definitely recommend it. My only complaint is that I wish the input for the patch cable and the input for the adapter were on the opposite side of the headphone inputs. It would make my desk a little less cluttered. Small potatoes for how much money this guy saved me.
