This is perfect for small mobile DJs that do karaoke every once in a while or at family parties/gatherings. I use it with my laptop playing mp3+g files. The voice canceling feature works well enough to lower the original voice on the track so that the performers voice can be heard clearly. It will not perfectly get rid of the original vocals though, it basically lowers the mid frequencies. Anyone expecting it to do that is not being realistic. Comes in handy when someone wants to sing a song you don't have in your karaoke library.

I bought the Behringer MIX800 MiniMIX Karaoke Machine to replace a much more expensive machine that finally quit working. I was hesistant to order the Behringer because the price was a small fraction of what I had paid for the other, but it was right after Christmas and it was either that or wait several months. When I received it I was hoping for the best but fearing the worst. The connections were so easy it took only a minute to plug it in, then my wife and i tried it. It worked so much better than the old one there was hardly a comparison. We've been extremely happy with the unit. We have not tried voice cancellation since the music we play has already had the voice removed. The only thing we don't like about it is the fact that you cannot turn the effects--either reverb or echo--completely off. That's not much of a problem, though, because we always use one or the other. I'd recommend this to anyone who wants a karaoke machine. You can pay much more, but if you have a computer and a stereo amplifier, you won't need to.

I have been looking for this mixer for years, sound  as great as my 4 channel Behringer mixer with effects, I would have scored it 5.0 if they included the mid-range on the mic EQ. I bought 2 of this on my first order, and I will order more as gifts to my best of friends, my brothers and sisters.THANKS To BEHRINGER

I have been using this little mixer for about a year now. I bought it because I needed a solution for echo effect for my laptop karaoke. Do not let the small size and price fool you. I have also used regular CD's with the voice canceller which works well enough to have the original artist sound like he is backing you up on vocals. Great economical solution for karaoke users who need an echo effect.

This product works great as a mic preamp and simple efx processor. This is exactly what we wanted. I did not try the voice canceller as we are using real Karaoke songs and don't have a need for this function. The unit is plastic and very light weight but has decent preamp mic inputs and a couple of common Karaoke fx that sound good. No problems and at a price that is reasonable. I have not been able to find anything on the market like it so kudos to Behringer for coming up with a unique product.
