Does exactly what I need - wish it sounded a little better

As far as function - I couldn't ask for more.  This exactly what I needed to get my monitor setup under control.  I wish it would go in a rack, but it's small enough that I worked it out without too much trouble.  The only problem is that there was an immediately noticable change in the sound of my speakers from passing through this.  There is a definite low-end roll off and the highs became a little more harsh.  Enough that when I'm working on critical mixes, I'll probably bypass it even though that's when I would need the function the most.  The sound problems are less pronounced when I hit it with a lower level input.  If I set the input level according the instructions - with the meters hitting around 0, it sounds awful.  When the input is low, it's a lot better.  All-in-all, worth the price for day to day convenience.

Perfect little box!

Features:

Once again this is another..."plug and play" device from Behringer. It has most of the features of the big studio control boxes at not even a fraction of the price. Three way monitor switching, head phone at the console, head phones out, studio talk back and headphone talk back! BTW all buttons are back lit for low light studios!

Quality:

Quality is more than acceptable at this price point.

Value:

This is a true "value" item.

Overall:

All features neede are here and the box itself adds not a hint of additional noise!

MiniMon

Features:

This little item was one of the best purchases I ever made. I have used it for 4 years now and could not be happier. It is perfect for the small home studio setup for interfacing with the Daw, Computer, Monitors and Headphones. It will route your signals to what ever you may need with clean and clear sound and no coloration. I coupled this with the Miniamp and was set for headphone mixes all for a great price. The talk Back feature is huge plus. If you are on a tight budget, and who isn't do not let the name or the price scare you away. My only complaint is that while you can mount it to a rack shelf you can't mount the Minimon and the Miniamp side by side because together they are wider than the 17" available on the shelf. I have recently upgraded from the Miniamp to the Art Headamp 6 Pro fro the neede power output but still use the Minimon for signal routing and the talkback feature.

Quality:

I have had no issues with it.

Value:

For the price and the features you get when your setting up a signal routing system it cannot be beat.

Overall:

If you are wavering on what to get as I often do this will please you.

It does what it says and has a flat, clean, and uncolored sound. It's small size is perfect for my desktop sized, home studio setup, because it bridges the gap between my BR900 CD, computer, stereo, headphones and monitors, and I still have input/output options left.....GREAT DEAL

Clean, uncolored sound. Does the jobs it claims to do very well indeed. The only con I can think of is it has no threded holes in the bottom for mounting to a rack shelf. But a little creative engineeering solved that problem. In the fabric dept. of Wally World, I purchased some stick on velcro dots, now the mini mon rides piggy back on my rack mounted headphone amp, the velcro secures it quite firmly. Get this unit and take the remainder of the $299 you would have spent on a big knob and invest it in a nice pre-amp, or e.q, or condendser, etc.
