The sound quality from this mixer is excellent. It may not have the features of its big brothers, but for a mini-mixer it really rocks! It has some of the features expected on a larger mixer, like aux send and return, and it allows you to insert other signals into the final mix. This is well worth the money. I use this for mixing sound for use in videos, and the result is excellent!

The mic pre's are far from transparent, they sound horrible, thin and rough. The board is noisy and crosstalk is a big issue. The EQ is absolutely terrible and very intrusive, there are no inserts or direct-outs for multi-tracking. Construction quality is poor, pots aren't aligned with each other, they're also not at all uniform - some are so loose you wonder if they work, others are much to tight and you actually need some effort to turn them - also, they are scratchy and are not smooth at all when it comes to the sound. It's no better than Nady! It can't even compare to a Mackie 1202, or even a small Yamaha analog board. The Soundcraft Spirit folio notepad mixer is a much better choice, it doesn't have many of the features of the Behringer, but it sounds a world better!

Great mixer for live and home use. I have three Behringer mixers and I use them all. Very reliable and flexible. They are the best mixer on the market for the money.

Full Featured - Tiny Price!

By D. Knight

How many features can Behringer pack into a small space? More than you'd imagine! This board is similar to smaller Mackie boards (except it doesn't sport a mute feature on the channels) but at a fraction of the price. Great for live sound applications, karaoke, DJ, recording. This is a great buy! I'm planning on purchasing more Behringer boards in the future!

Put simply, you can't do any better than this mixer for a small operation. It is such a good value with surprisingly good sound. Really, a good buy!

If your needs are simple and you don't want to spend more than you have to, this is a great unit to have. It does the job!

So awesome for the price

I just started mixing and recording with my friend and so we need a cheap mixer. We bought this, but we did not expect such good quality from something so inexpensive.

A decent mixer for beginning techs or home studios

By HumbuckerLover

It creates a very substantial amount of hum in my tube amp and it doesn't have sliders. A decent mixer for beginning techs or home studios.

Great! I love it! An excellent mixer for a tiny price! Easy to operate, Behringer quality! Lacks volume sliders, but that's ok, it's a small mixer, it doesn't need them.

Excellent, quiet mixer, for a very low price

A great bargain in a small package. Excellent craftsmanship and durability of the product. It is amazing that such a good aluminum case mixer with all the features could be purchased for this ridiculously cheap price. If I had it to do over, I'd buy a bigger Behringer mixer for a bit more money.

Excellent Value!

By pharmrjim

from Waterbury, CT

Absolutely dead quiet, very nice, smooth controls (looks and feels much more expensive) Faders would have been nice for track volumes, but the knobs do the trick. I've used it for recording onto minidisc, PC, a hard-disk recorder, and also live sound, and it has done its job perfectly! Buy this!

Unreal for the price

By Cosmicdaveus

I bought this to connect 2 guitars, a keyboard and my stereo system - the results were fantastic. No noise, tons of flexability and tone control. I did alot of research and, for the money - this unit is the way to go.

Behringer has to be one of the best companies in the music world. There are no "Wal-Marts" of music equipment. Behringer is small, considering other companies, but I would take Behringer over anything! This company rocks!

Great

By Axeist

from San Diego, CA

I've been using one for recording for over a year now and I like it! The sound is clean. The only drawback is that reverb is not built in. My keyboard player recently got a Behringer 26-channel mixer, but until then we used the MX802 to mic the guitar amps.
