I have 2 road racks with 5 amps and 5 1502s..base mid high and 4 monitor..I dumped the crossover and use the 1502 to set up my sub amp feeds..Each band has a little different sound or wants monitor brighter or tight..each his/her preference..I can dial in just what they need on all 10 channels to make them sound good..Need thumping base//here it comes but I can add fill frequencies to make it sound good too; can't do that with a crossover.

This is a great EQ. You have two channels for EQ, and there is lots of versatility in the buttons to see your in/out signals, decrease/increase eq at a spectrum, etc. so it really is a great EQ.

But forget the other functions. The Feedback detection (FBQ) does work, but it's difficult to tell where the feedback is, even with the LEDs. You'd have to ring out each sound source and see where the feedback was, so if you were buying this to hook up and play and see where the feedback is, you'd be lost. And if you have the time to ring out everything one by one anyway, why have a FBQ feature? And the crossover does not work like a true crossover, more like a low pass filter that sends to a sub (and it can only send to one sub unless you daisy chain).

All in all a great EQ, economical, and a good start to understanding feedback and crossover if you want to get it for that, but certainly don't buy it for those features.

Great little EQ / CROSSOVER!

Comments about Behringer ULTRAGRAPH PRO FBQ1502 EQ with Feedback Detection:

I got this because it has the crossover for the subs. It does a great job as both an EQ and as a crossover. The knobs feel a little cheap and the connectors on the back aren't the best but overall this box is a great value if you're on a budget.

Excellent Equalizer!

Comments about Behringer ULTRAGRAPH PRO FBQ1502 EQ with Feedback Detection:

This is the first Behringer product I own and couldn't be happier. For the money its a fantastic performer! I just ran it over the course of a full day music festival. Performers included African Drummers, Haitian Choir, Irish punk and Latino band. The equalizer and especially the Feedback protection circuit performed perfectly. I was able to control troublesome frequencies in a very live room and suit the house mix to each performer's needs. Don't feel I need to pay more for an equalizer with more features when this fits the bill.

Big sound for a little price

Comments about Behringer ULTRAGRAPH PRO FBQ1502 EQ with Feedback Detection:

I bought one of this because I want to minimize the noise of the amplifier and have more than the expected. Now I don't have to pump up the volume to high only in one or three it's good enough to shake any room. And the bad noises are gone.

Great EQ for the price

Comments about Behringer ULTRAGRAPH PRO FBQ1502 EQ with Feedback Detection:

This is a great EQ for the money. The sub output was my main reason for the purchase. I use the Pv18's and this really helps to tweek the punch. I have it rack mounted and and leave it connect with the board to avoid having to connect and reconnect. Thats the key to longevity. I am going to purchase another to use in the monitor sub mix. Worth the money for sure.

Gets the job done.

By Anonymous

Comments about Behringer ULTRAGRAPH PRO FBQ1502 EQ with Feedback Detection:

I've used one for about a year now. The sliders feel cheap, but have never quit working. Two of the slider leds go in and out, but it's not that big of a deal. The feedback detection is kind of helpful if you know what you are doig (it doesn't do anything to stop the feedback, just points out the suspect freq). If you're on a budget (IE not a professional band) buy one. Most people don't realize what an EQ can do for a live mix, or even just a Vocal PA addition. Get to know your frequencies!

Comments about Behringer ULTRAGRAPH PRO FBQ1502 EQ with Feedback Detection:

I tested this first in my home studio and then in an outdoor live event in the Texas summer heat before installing it in the tech booth of a church. It has been running flawlessly for a year now. I haven't used it for more than just a straight 2-channel EQ but it does a fine job. Since it is a fixed install I don't have to ring out the system often but when I do, the FBQ function makes it a quick job! I gave it 4 stars on the performance and features but value for the price pushes to a fifth star.

Does anyone know if the Sub crossover is a true crossover or just a lo-pass filter on the sub side?

Comments about Behringer ULTRAGRAPH PRO FBQ1502 EQ with Feedback Detection:

I purchased this EQ fro use in my home studio and have been happy with it no noise added to my sound and seems to be of moderate quality. For someone on a budget this is great. You could always do better on quality cause the knobs all feel different and sliders do as well. but go for it nothing better at the price.

Comments about Behringer ULTRAGRAPH PRO FBQ1502 EQ with Feedback Detection:

I'm a volunteer kj and dj working almost exclusively for nothing on church gigs. I must use cheap gear. This EQ is about as cheap as there is, and still it functions perfectly. As stated before, the sliders don't feel silky, but work just fine. I love the FBQ, and can now set up for maximum gain before feedback fast. I use the sub out to an active sub that also has its own low-pass, and have no issues with this setup.
