Good mixer for home!

Behringer VMX300 -5 years and it works fine. I picked it because of its knock off look to pioneers (which left me feeling confident when it came time to use pioneers in the club). The BPM counter sucks, but there are perks like a line out to record (FEW mixers in this price range have this EXTREME convenience), booth out for separate speaker set up other than master out, wide EQ knobs to really grab and turn, split cue (a tune in each ear for precise beatmatch) and individual gain meters for every channel SEPARATE from the master meter. It's a great home use mixer. The faders last but the black tops on them are cheapish. This thing has been on cross country moves, sits out with 3 cats that climb on it and it's still ticking. If you aren't sure about a cheap mixer buy this one. The features alone make it rock for what it is.

All of the lights (channel signal gain, Master output gain, BPM counters etc...)never work and when they do it's pointless to try and adjust the levels because as soon as you get it close to being dialed in they cut out. If you don't mind not knowing what your tracks are doing go for it(ha!)!

Solid mixer for old and new

I've had this mixer for years and its taken its fair share of use and abuse. I love the reverse and kill switches for ultra quick cuts and e.q. manipulation. I love to scratch and feel the fader has been sharp, crisp, and dependable with the  curve control through use in the studio or in the club. The volume faders have pretty clean fade ins and outs in comparison to other mixers. The BPM counter is tricky to get if your rythym is off and you can't click the beat assist button on point. Overall, I've been cosiderately satisfied with this mixer and feel it basically has some little tricks up its sleeve that other mixers just don't have. Beginners and pros would both vibe this.

good mixer for the price

The mixer is good for beginners. Everything I have used on the mixer works fine except for the beat counter which is useless. The sound is not 100% top quality either, but will do for mobile disc jockeys and bed room djs. The price thougth is amazing and that is 1 reason I bought it. I bought it actually for my mobile disc jockey company and it works perfectly for what I do. I thing I wanna say it's has a tough body. I dropped it on the floor hard and I dented it only a little (not noticeable) and it still works like new. I just wish I could get a case for it. I checked everywhere and still can't find a cheap case for it.

great features, awesome price for what you get.The BPM counters are junk(though they do make the mixer appear to be more expensive than it is),but the faders and db- cuts are excellent.
