Features:

My son got this for xmas and let me tell you... it is FANTASTIC!!

First off, it is plug and play... we use it to record our own music on a laptop. Plug er' in a USB port, boot up Mixcraft, and away we go!

The headphone jack allows us to hear what is being recorded with zero latency! LOVE IT!

The 4 different patterns allows for making studio quality recordings with or without effects.

Quality:

This mic is steel-sturdy! Built like a battleship, and looks like a robot.

Value:

For the price nothing else even comes close to this value.

Overall:

If you are looking for a very easy to use USB microphone for home or studio recording, this is it!

It's hard to believe it is priced as it is!!

The features are great too. 4 different patterns, mute, headphone jack, volume!

If you are even considering buying this mic, STOP WAITING! GET IT!! You won't be disappointed.

Ok, so it's a great mic.  It really is.  It sounds fantastic.  But I didn't even have it for a day before the cable that connects it to the computer just completely screwed up.  The end that connects into the mic itself somehow bent and snapped off, I presume due to the weight of the cable itself (Because really there's no other way I can think of that that would happen).  Fortunately I have another cable like it, it's just frustratingly short.  Basically, get this mic, but have a backup cable around just in case.

Unbelievable

Features:

I've worked with it in cardoid undirectional mode 1 day recording a melodica melody track over an orchestrated background. Incredible sound! Easy to use, it installs itself right away. XP users will have to go into Control Panel - Sound Devices and set the Yeti as your default Input device then set your sound card as the default Output device. For some reason all my programs tried to play back everything thru the Yeti until I changed the Input/Output settings. Once that was done I had no problems at all.

This thing is huge, massive, ginormous! It looks like it'll still be around long after the house falls down and blows away.

I got the Blue Yeti yesterday for my 19th birthday and was playing around with it today. It is amazing. It picks up everything. Past microphones I used for demos couldn't pick up anything unless I was a few inches away from it, but then if I sang above a whisper it would distort and crackle. With the blue yeti, I can just put it in the middle of my recording space and play. It sounds great. It has four settings for recording. My favorite is the stereo setting because it has a great true echo to it that makes it sound like you're in the room. Very professional sounding. It's official: this is the microphone I'm using for my final recordings for my band's new record. It's terrific. And when considering it's less that two hundred dollars, it's a steal.
