I bought these headphones around 3 years ago, and they have fantastic noise cancelling, and fantastic sound quality. They fit extremely comfortably, and you can wear them for hours and hours without irritating your ears. Just like everyone else seemed to say, my earpiece connector plastic thing broke, but unlike everyone else on here, I called Bose and they had me just send them back what was broken and sent me BRAND NEW HEADPHONES! If that isn't customer service, I don't know what is! Everyone here just said they "broke and went to pick up another pair", but I called in and they exceeded my expectations for accomadations as far as fixing the problem went. These headphones are the only headphones you'll ever need, I've had the replaced headphones for years now and nothing seems to waver, everything seems solid and they seem to have fixed whatever flimsy plastic problem they had. Don't hesitate to buy these, I got them for $400 when they first came out, and this is a highly reduced price. Hope this was helpful, and good luck deciding!

I bought these about a year ago looking for a good set of headphones. Having not read the reveiws on the website, I went ahead and purchased. Until today, I have absolutely loved them. They suck battery power but they sound great for any kind of music and were quite comfortable. But today, I placed them on my head and noticed they felt funny. I took them off to inspect and, sure enough, the plastic that connects the actual "earcups" to the "headband" is broken on BOTH sides. For a product that costs as much as these do, they should be made with higher quality components. While they last, they're great...the only problem is, they don't last that long. I will probably try something from Ultrasone or Sennheiser next.

I have had a pair of these for about three years, as everyone else says, they broke on me. I had not read all the reviews about the breakage being a known problem, I thought my daughter did it, or I would have sent them to Bose have them replaced. As far as the sound goes, THEY SOUND GREAT! I use them to practice drums with a Roland V-Durm set, through a mixer with a CD. I have a few other pairs of headphones, and I have never found anything else that comes close. I have just used super glue to fix them when they broke, it holds them together for about a year. Until I find something else as good I will keep using them, However I would like them a lot more if they cost about fifty bucks.

Very Fragile

These things break very easily. They are not designed to go on the road. They break extremely easy. Other than that, the sound quality is really good and the do reduce a little noise, but not much. I wouldn't recomend these at all.

I had the same problem with the headset crumbling after about a year. I ended up buying a new pair and promptly returning the old one with the reciept of the new ones since they would not honor the warranty. Hey for the price they'd better last.

Upgrade broken headphones

By Anonymous

from Undisclosed

I had a pair of QC2s which I loved for about 3 years. The piece connecting the earphones broke in 2 places which I was able to fix with electrical tape. Didn't look that bad actually. On a flight one ear piece broke off compleely. After being upset I went to a Bose store and they upgraded them to QC3s. The way they broke is a known issue. I thought that they were extremely fair since I had used them for 3 years.

Unimpressed

The Bose WC 2 Noise Canceling Headphones do tone down a portion of the background noise but I've notice I have to have all my devices I plug these into placed at FULL volume. I use this mainly with my computer or plugged into a headphone amp on my Fender Strat. They seem very weak. Dull product... you don't have to worry about going deaf listening with these.

Great sound but thats all

By Yourmom366

I used these for recording a couple years ago. I think they are more for listening than recording. These headphones are phenominal as far as producing high quaility sound. How ever they truely do equalize mixes and quite honestly make things sound better than they really do. So you may think you just recorded a good take, but then you listen to it with studio monitors or normal speakers and you'll realize it doesn't sound as good as it did in the Bose phones. NEVER USE THESE FOR MONITORING. They make things sound damn near perfect no matter how things are mixed.... but if you play the same track on a different output device you'll realize it actually sounds not good. SO if you're not mixing or recording and can afford to replace them after 2 years... then get em.

Great until they break

By lEihtNux.

Don't get me wrong, these lasted a few years and during that period, allowed me to work in a noisy cube office environment. However, the plastic slowly crumbled, until each sidearm of the set was thickly wrapped in electrician's tape to keep the thing together. Today, one cup broke off, and I can no longer use tape to keep the thing together. I've never traveled with these, I use them only at my desk, I've never dropped them.Even with such care, the plastic used has crumbled away. Programmed obsolesence? For something that cost me this much, I'm quite upset.

great sound, poor quality

By Anonymous

from Undisclosed

I've had these for two years, the sound quality is excellent, and comfort is equally as good. However, I only use these a couple times a week and just recently while they were on my head the plastic broke (this is the part of the headset that goes over the head and allows for size adjustment). Considering the cost of this headset and the fact that over two years of light use and now they are broken I would not recommend these to anyone.
