This is the finest cross between a great general listening system and a reference system for using to record. Incredible real full specturm sound from very low to very high. A producer's dreambox! The little control box gives me fingertip control of everything. I have my cd, my MP3 player and my computer plugged in for home and can pack it up and take it on the road in a minute! Thanks Mucician's Friend for making this available to me!
Incredible sound from a package so small. I was skeptical, but I'm glad I purchased it. I have Bose 901's in my living room and I was really surprised at how good the Model Twelve sounded next to it.
Wonderful... It has a wow factor. Best in this price range and flexable. Very accurate sound, that I look forward to hearing. Easy to tote around.
The Model Twelve is the last of Dr. Kloss's designs in the Cambridge Soundworks line. This small package is amazing in it's reproduction qualities. While pricier than most small monitor speaker systems, they prove he old saying "you get what you pay for." For clear, uncolored, tonally accurate sound they cannot be beat. They've become the most trusted monitors in our studio. Plus, they're easily packed-up for location recording.
The design is extremely clever, with the subwoofer in the case. It is a substantial system, weighing in at about 25 pounds. I use it for satellite radio and mp3 in my office and the sound is fantastic. Colleagues are asking where I got it from. I would recommend it highly.
After the reviews I'd read, I was expecting this system to sound pretty good. But I wasn't prepared for it to outperform my high-end 3-way Marantz speakers (in terms of tonal-separation and overall clarity of sound) The model twelve sounds amazingly good, and its performance at high volume is stunning. Well worth the price.
I bought the Model 12 almost a year ago. Out of the box there was noise whenever the tone controls were moved (particularly the treble). I think maybe there was some dirt. The system also seems susceptible to electrical noise from other things on the same circuits. I love the sound quality from these speakers. I also like the way the system packs into its own travelling case. Very sturdy when packed away. I use it with MP3 player, cd player, and with VCR and DVD players. I just wish the amp were isolated from the line noises better.
