There's no denying the many features these lights bring to bear that no other system has done before. The design is excellent with the ease of set-up, transport cases, super economical performance, multiple performance modes, light weight, and overall coolness! My band replaced a tree of 4 par 38 cans with these and the upgrade has been fantastic! Just a huge improvement accross the board! They are plenty bright, exude a super-effective wash since all four cans can now be any color, unlike the old 'one-gel, one color' design, they set up in literally two minutes, are easy to use, light-weight, and everyone in our band just loves them! Rarely have I been so impressed and so satisfied with the 'performance vs. the hype' of a product. But this light system delivers on all its promises.Yes, as others have said here, the build quality could be improved - nothing major, but you know, knucklehead stuff. Ours were missing one of the screws that hold the stand legs together. A trip to the hardware store fixed that, but it was annoying. But other than that, I hafta give these lights two thumbs up and 'green light' anyone who is considering them to go ahead and purchase with confidence. We're gonna buy another set so we can hit both sides of the stage in larger rooms. For smaller rooms, or for duos or singles, one is plenty! So go ahead and buy these. You will not be sorry. There's simply nothing else like them on the market!

I won't buy another one. My business requires my band to play outside a lot and you can't use these outside. From now on, I'll put my money into a more professional digital system that can be used in any environment. Also, the fact that 2 of the 3 units I bought have locked up on white indicates to me that this is going to be a problem for anyone who plans on using these lights more than occasionally. The cases the lights come in offer good protection, but won't last long if you're using them professionally.
I initially bought 2 of these systems for my small stage set up. As everybody says...easy set up and easy to run. But within about 2 months one of the footswitches went out. Lucky I still had the second system footswitch because I couldn't buy another one without buying the whole system. Then, one system locked up on white and I have not been able to get anyone with Chauvet or MF to tell me how to reset it without sending the unit in. So I bought a third system to replace it while I get the locked up system fixed. BUT....then a second unit locked in white mode within just a couple of weeks. Again, no help from Chauvet or MF without sending the unit in. The cost of shipping and repair, along with the down time, make it more cost effective to buy a new system. But who can afford $400 bucks every 3-4 months? So....I went back to using my old standby PAR 38 and PAR 46 sytems. Also, you can't use these systems outside and a great deal of my business occurs outside during the spring and summer months. While set up and transport is easy, it's not worth the cost when you'll have to replace it or repair it in just a few months.
The system is built pretty well, but easily locks up. The footswitches are plastic and break easily if you use them a lot. The case it comes in is adequate, but not roadworthy. Also, Chauvet does not provide an adequate manual to tell you how to reset the units. They want you to send it in for repair. This makes it cost prohibitive to working bands.
At $400 bucks, it is a little pricey if you have to repair or replace it every few months. Don't plan on having it repaired because the shipping costs, repair costs, and down time make it more convenient to just buy another one.

Comments about Chauvet 4Bar LED System:
This is a great wash system that looks great at parties for 25-150 people. It's a bit expensive but overall a very good buy. They would be even better if they had brighter LED's but overall it has a long wash throw.

Comments about Chauvet 4Bar LED System:
We have had several other systems that have usually ended up broken because of fast packing and carelessness. This system has a great case that protects all of the lights. It's only downfall is the height of the tripod. It should be able to extend another 3'.

Comments about Chauvet 4Bar LED System:
I would most certainly suggest, and being priced so low including stand and case, that you purchase two sets unless you are only doing a duo or three piece. For small clubs they work great as a wash, but for larger groups or larger venues, two would be ideal!!
Nice value, and they run cool...

Comments about Chauvet 4Bar LED System:
The hard case is exellent to protect the lights.
The lights are really brithness and very easy to setup.
When the party start I put the colors changing with a very low speed or in a single color while the people is coming .
When start the dance I change to the automatic movements by the sound.
When the party is over put all the lights in "white" and low the volume.
There are awesomes, portables and make the job perfect.

Comments about Chauvet 4Bar LED System:
I've waited and researched for over a year before buying two of these units. I'm excited to use these either DJing or with our band. They work very well. I do, however, agree with previous comments about the fixture construction could have or should have been something more substantial than the thin plastic and the sound control be a little more adjustable. The Owners' Manual could use more clarity too. Overall, this was a good purchase for me and my uses.

Comments about Chauvet 4Bar LED System:
These are great lights for the price; easy to setup and use; and are a lot cooler than standard can lights. They come in their own carry bag with pocket for foot pedal and cords; even the stand has it's own bag as well.

Comments about Chauvet 4Bar LED System:
Im replacing a 25 year old par 38 system thats been loyal but very hot at times, this chauvet system is 100% better in every way, easy set up, they come in a nice carrying case, with very sturdy stands. With led bulbs, the heat on stage is drastically recuced., whew!!!! just a couple of cons to go with it , the stands are only 1 stage , wish they were 2 stages,to go up higher for higher stages., also musicians friend should inform you , you will need dmx cordS to combine multiple trees(up to 15) with 1 controller. UPSELL!!!. otherwise I highly recommend these lights for any stage. well just have to see if they last 25 years also. lol

Cons
- Spazzy Sound Activation

Comments about Chauvet 4Bar LED System:
Nice, easy lights and a good case.Forget about the sound activation adjustment thing. For a sorta regular band, the mic either doesn't pick up and the lights don't change or they go absolutely crazy with a zillion changes per bar of music.(seizure inducing stuff). Needs a dmx controller. Last program on the pedal is usable. Blackout is good.3 gigs in, I'm a little bent about the inability of the lights to actually catch a rock beat. Just sayin'. Still def gonna keep 'em though.

Comments about Chauvet 4Bar LED System:
I play in a acoustic duo and was looking for lighting for smaller to mid-size venues and something I could control from the stage if required. Bought my first set of these lights 2 years ago and now buying a second set for a more cosmetic reason only (one for each side). They are fantastic , set up easy (10 minutes) , throw sufficient light , and not hot to play under. Treat them with kid gloves and they'll last a long time. I highly reccommend them......they are terrific for the above sized venues and especially for duo or solo acts.

Comments about Chauvet 4Bar LED System:
The lights themselves are really nice. I like the case that they came in. They pack as thin as a guitar. They don't seem to be quite as bright as our cans but they are bright enough. The color is a little weird being monochrome but there are many more colors than you can easily get with cans. It all came to a screeching halt however when I tried to connect them to a DMX controller by the same brand. Both manuals are pretty much worthless. Aside from being hard to understand, the light just don't respond to the buttons like the manual seems to say. I don't know why they couldn't make it easier to set the address. If I can't make it work I'll likely send the whole setup back. Ask me later if I'd recommend these to a friend. Maybe I'll change my mine after I call the company for help.
