This unit is best suited for a very small venue. We bought two of these for a 300 seat venue with low ceilings. These machines struggled to produce enough haze to fill it enough to highlight our lighting. Also, these machines require a cool down time every 30-60 seconds. So, running full blast, they will produce haze for 30 seconds, then shut off for 30 seconds, then run for another 30 seconds, etc. You end up getting big puffs of haze, instead of a steady stream, every time these kick on. If you want a nice constant haze in your venue, don't get these. Our machines also broke after only one year of use, despite following the manufacturer's recommendations for maintenance.Spend a little more coin and get a Martin hazer. You'll be much happier.
I needed hazer for lighting effects. I tried a small fogger but it just fogged up the place and quickly cleared. I did not have a lot of money to pay for a "real" fogger. I played around with this unit and quickly learned how to adjust the settings, per instructions, for a haze effect. This baby has a good fan that sends the haze onto the stage. I place the machine up high, about six feet up, to get the haze into the lighting zone. Works quite well. I get beams of light, from my scanners and cans, as well as other moving lights. I run a small stage, one machine is enough. I can also crank it up and make fog too. The remote works well and tells you when the hazer is ready or is heating up. I am totally satisfied.
