The 5-channel Chauvet Intimidator Scan LED offers an impressively high-power 22W scanner. The Intimidator's color wheel emits 11 colors plus white and a rainbow-color spin effect. Operate the Intimidator Scan LED light's built-in automated and sound activated programs through master/slave mode.
The Chauvet Intimidator is equipped with 14 gobos, linkable power, requires no lamp replacements, has no duty cycle, and is lightweight. If the scanner's DMX signal is lost, the auto mode kicks in. The Chauvet Intimidator Scan LED DMX Scanner Light's double bracket yoke also functions as a floor stand.

Compared to the new model, this is a better product overall.
For the price you get a gobo wheel and a separate color wheel, a good programming and 22W LED source vs the intimidator 100's combine color and gobo wheel, and only 20 W LED.
Sheet metal construction, well made, could have used a digital setting and read instead of DIP switches.

I now own two of these LED fixtures and two 2.O's and gotta tell ya...our band has the best light show and lots of compliments. The only down side I had was the lenses in these lights were cloudy. Glass cleaner did not fix the problem. I experimented with a piece of moist steel wool with a light scrub, cloudiness gone and lenses crystal clear. I don't recommend over scrubbing. These LED fixtures still work great with the 2.0's when DMX connected in stand-alone mode. With a little TLC, these lights are fantastic to add cool effects to your band or small club atmosphere and most of all...they'll last and not pop breakers!! I love these lights!

Has cheap Chinese bulb sockets that crack and have two small holes to push the bulb into. Had to go to the hardware store for spring loaded dry wall anchors to keep pressure on the bulb & socket. Not very road worthy and should be used as a club install only!! Also the XLR outputs loosen up and causes faulty command of colors and movement.
